That pause-then-respond moment (and I loved how it was awkward for a second, you could see Kenzie's face getting anxious), and then delivering the most composed answer to a ridiculously tough question in a highly emotional moment, was the most impressed with a survivor contestant I've ever been. I liked both Kenzie and Charlie a lot, so I was not disappointed, but boy oh boy did Charlie's stock go even higher for me. What a kid.

Charlie lost due to Maria's vindictiveness but ultimately the jury was faced with giving the $1 million to a humanitarian who devoted herself to others, or, a strategist who gave himself wholly to the game. I thought it was "outwit, outlast, outplay" and therefore cannot see any reason why Charlie did not win. Full marks to the radiant and compassionate artiste, Kenzie, but this was not an award for "most Popular/Best Liked". Charlie was robbed and Maria is holding the gun.

Charlie played one of the best strategic games of the new era, he controlled nearly every vote post merge, worked with everyone on the jury and still kept his threat level low. Props to Kenz of course, but Charlie deserved the W. Really goes to show the jury votes for who they like the most, not necessarily on merit of gameplay

I - as many people who watch this channel - love survivor for its strategy. I'm so deflated to see one of the best strategic games in recent memory conveyed effectively with charisma lose. Kenzje played a great game but I can't help but feel disappointed.

I don’t think y’all realize survivor is more than just pure strategy. He might have had the best strategic game but that doesn’t always guarantee you the win. Your social game is just as big of a factor to winning as your strategic game. I don’t even think the jury gave him credit for playing the best strategic game of the season. Even though we saw it in the tv show, I think most of the jury thought of Maria as the best strategist, and Charlie just tagged along. That mixed with most of the jury liking Kenzie more then him led to her winning.

The piece that feels off is Charlie and Maria were shown to have such a close bond and the “more than a game” dimension made me believe Maria would vote for Charlie because of their 27 day connection.

@@Mamomain That’s definitely true. I honestly think that came down to Maria being persuaded by other jury members. I don’t think she really thought about Kenzie until people on the jury talked about her. And then after hearing that and then watching her compete in fire and the little speech she gave after I think Maria actually saw Kenzie as a true competitor. And like Charlie said, people probably told her “ya Charlie was coming after you very early into the game.” I think all of that ended up swaying Maria in Kenzie’s direction.

I like Kenzie, she was my winner pick preseason, but it's hard not to feel like Charlie deserved it more. I don't mind Tiff sticking up for her #1, but it seemed like she belittled Charlie's game at ponderosa. Also, Maria had no reason not to vote for Charlie and for her to say that she voted for Kenzie because she won at fire felt like a weak excuse. Charlie has every reason to be bitter with her, especially with how she treated Ben in the game as well.

The honest truth is that Charlie lost the game, because he was too comfortable in thinking that Maria was the only threat to his endgame. It became obvious during the fire making challenge that there was a Kenzie-ward tilt in the jury. I think Kenzie would have won even if Maria had forced a tie, because on the revote, I could easily see Liz or Soda changing her vote to avoid giving Ben the power to decide the game.

Charlie's win depended more on Maria's support, because it was all very split (understandably). Tiffany stood by her #1, Maria did not.

Maria claimed her vote was based on the "fire" ...Q explained his vote was based on Kenzie's response to HIS (not Tiff's) last question, which he felt was a more honest response. @@JNDReacts A small but transparent example of Tiffany trying to guide the vote and set the table for Kenzie was in her opening statement during final tribal : "Also please understand, we are not looking for Taylor Swift lyrics. We are not looking for pop culture and rock & roll references (*you can actually see whatever little light Ben had left in his eyes go out right here). We are looking for serious and thought provoking responses". That's a shot at Charlie and a shot at Ben before they've even said a word, but no sassy put down for Kenzie conveniently enough; and all this while claiming to be speaking on behalf of the jury. This instantly puts Ben and Charlie on the defensive ("don't do this, don't be yourselves") and means they have to consciously dial down parts of their personality to appease the jury while Kenzie is allowed to feel comfortable and free to just be herself in a game where authenticity was a huge part of each of their success. I like Kenzie so I'm not mad about the result but I find stuff like this so annoying. If you're gonna campaign for someone, do it openly. That's annoying too but at least I don't have to sit through this charade where I have to pretend you're being fair and objective. I also really hope they go back to the old jury format because this version gives certain jurors more power than they should have in guiding conversations during final tribal.

Charlie was by far the best overall player in my eyes. Unfortunately for him, Kenzie was really good with the jury. His biggest mistake was not convincing Ben they needed to get rid of Kenzie at 4. If he got Maria's vote, he probably gets Ben's in the tie breaker. One of the best runner ups we've had.

Not to throw shade...I think the shade is well deserved! At the very least, it should have been a tie and Ben would have voted for either and the other would feel less betrayed/sad (and happy/accepting for the other) at the single vote outcome vs what we had here with Maria voting for Kenzie because there was "fire in her eyes". Also we see here Charlie is wearing a Ben shirt so this tells me these two are going to continue their amazing friendship (similar to Austin and Jake in S45).

I've never felt more disappointment from a Survivor finale. Charlie played a better game: plain and simple. Charlie was strategic. He managed his threat-level perfectly. He knew the right time to take out Maria. He kept doors open. He did it all while being respectful towards everyone around him. Kenzie did not treat the people on her original tribe well. I even felt at times she displayed bullying behavior towards Jess and Bhanu. Kenzie did NOT deserve to be crowned the winner of this season. Charlie, by far, displayed more respect and deeper layers within his game. As a fan, the wrong person won Season 46. You could not convince me otherwise. Maria was the hardest person to watch on this season. Forcing Liz, who was starving at the time, to play "Rock Paper Scissors" was the most disrespectful move I've ever seen someone make on this show. It was humiliating and defeating. Liz was so hungry that she played into her game. I believe if Liz wasn't literally starving to death that she wouldn't have participated in something so demeaning. Maria not voting for Charlie was beyond brutal to watch. I also believe that Q's vote was complete BS. You should never vote for someone to win Survivor based off of needing money. Everyone needs money. I thought Soda, Tevin, and Hunter were the stars of the jury. They went into the vote with the right mindsets. All in all, I feel like this season is a waste. Maria would not be invited over to my house.

The low life like Maria, Q and Kenzie cannot digest the fact that Charlie is a lot more dignified than they are, and therefore cannot bring themselves to vote for him for the win. @@emilyl7048 I only say this based off the fact that the final vote came to a 5-3. The 3 people who voted Charlie ended up deciding to do so during the final tribal (Liz, Hunter , Venus) meanwhile, Q who admitted to changing his vote from Charlie to Kenzie, making it 5-3 and not 4-4 , because of his question that he asked (what will you do with the money). I agree that it’s not THE reason Charlie lost, but I think it’s very clear that was the question that changed the votes from 4-4 to 5-3 (Kenzie winning).

My biggest thing with Charlie and Maria is that they both actively said that they would be friends after all this. He was supposed to be uncle Charlie and there was supposed to be any hard feelings. They said that they would vote for each other in the end and that they understood that they both couldn't make it to final three. What gets me about Maria is she actively said all this even in front of everyone. Just to turn around and do a complete 180 and not do it. Then in the finale after show Jeff asked if anyone had changed their vote last minute and Maria did not say she changed her vote. Meaning that Maria had no intention of voting for Charlie in the end. She out of that in front of everyone and on national television! I respect Charlie so much for being so continuously kind and gracious through all of this. Charlie was my favorite and I wish you would have won. But like Charlie I am happy for Kenzie as well. I hope Charlie gets a second chance.

Tiff and Q voted Kenzie bc they were long lasting allies. Hunter, Liz, and Soda voted Charlie bc he actually played the best game. Q and Tevin voted for Kenzie because of what she said she would do with the money. Venus voted for Kenzie because she was the nicest to her. Maria voted for Kenzie because she is a salty witch. So, MOST of this jury is an emotional jury that does not respect the value of the game, but their emotional FEELINGS which upsets me. The face of the season should be the one that actually played the game. Not because of some sad story about you working when you're young. I hate that Kenzie had to bring that up. This is a game, not a charity. You should deserve to win because of your game play, not your upbringing and that should be irrelevant when making the decision.

@9:50 I recall Tiffany mention that in her exit press. It’s interesting since Kenzie did put Tiff’s name out there yet Tiffany never found about that until the episode aired! Jury management is part of the game and it’s great to have an advocate for you in the jury, which Tiffany did for Kenzie. Sounds like Maria had some bad blood in ponderosa but regardless, I really enjoyed watching Charlie and hope he comes back to RHAP for a deep dive with some TS lyrics!

WHY IS IT that EVERY season, y'all find some black female to take your disappointment out on, when a white male doesn't win? It was OBVIOUS who Tiffany was supporting (considering her facial expressions, gestures, etc.), but she didn't "bully" the jury, or have this mind control over the jury, as y'all are trying to make it seem. The votes would have went the same - it is obvious who Tiffany was gonna vote for, and regardless, Maria was set on her vote. The only other factor was Q's vote, which was changed by Kenzie's response to his final question. Otherwise, I believe people would have voted the same. Charlie's win depended more on Maria's support, because it was all very split (understandably). Tiffany stood by her #1, Maria did not.

Charlie truly deserved the win in my eyes. He was one of my favorites from the start, and he proved to be a great all around player. Maria robbed him of his win. This finale should have had a different outcome. Maria showed her true colors (Bitter Betty), whereas Charlie demonstrated class and dignity. So glad that he had the opportunity to plead his case. He had great responses. They should have had a fan favorite vote!

Tiffany didn't "poison" the jury - STOP it! Y'all do this EVERY season, as you did with Katurah last season. Q changed his vote, due to how Kenzie's response to HIS question (which had NOTHING to do with Tiff's "influence"), and Maria claimed that she didn't vote for Q because of the "fire" ...The votes would have remained the same - the only other votes that could have been "swayed" by Tiff was Kevin, because I ALREADY KNEW that Venus would be voting for a female!

@@BigfloXOXO via rhap jury interviews, Tiff told maria that charlie had turned on her earlier after the hunter vote. Tiff said charlie told her to keep the idol to vote out maria. Which led to Tiffs blindside. But tiff (knowingly) changed the context to maria to sell that charlie had betrayed and was shady all along. Making maria feel charlie was not genuine with their friendship. It was only after the final tribal at poderosa that maria found out the truth from charlie that he only told that to tiff to make sure she didnt play her idol for the blindside. By changing the context, tiff "poisoned" the perception of the truth.

I think charlie was at a disadvantage because maria didnt give all the credit he deserved. I thought he did better building relationships and with challenges. From Maria’s interview as to why she didn’t vote for Charlie: “It started at fire making” when it was the most pathetic fire making of the new era. They were close to needing matches. “When Q asked about money and Kenzie said, etc”. I hate this question. How they will spend the money should not matter. It should be about gameplay. “I went with my heart” so you didn’t give the money to Uncle freaking Charlie. 🐍🐍🐍🐍🐍 Nothing against Kenzie but I don’t believe Maria for a second. I think it was an ego vote. She didn’t want Charlie to win because she didn’t want to believe that her partner contributed and played a great game too she wanted all the credit. If she couldn’t win, Charlie couldn’t win.
