They cook the auction food like around the corner from the set. Jeff talked about it his podcast at some point. That’s why they hadn’t done it in the new era until the 90 min episodes as it takes a lot of production time to do and lots of tv time to show.

Continue to hide the advantages and disadvantages in the prizes. Directions to a jar of peanut butter , or a small advantage in the next challenge. Or if they really want people to lose their vote, allow them to have the burger or steak, but the writing on the napkin tells them they lost their vote.

Baby Andy is winning y'all. I'm calling it. His game is a bit spurratic but its simultaneously hella coordinated and if he gets to FTC in any combination he can definitely articulate his game and his moves in a winning fashion. It would be the biggest and best comeback from episode 1 in Survivor History and I'm here for it.

I agree the auction was a little boring this time. To be fair, I think they stopped doing it because of that season where players figured out how to rig it to everyone’s benefit. It had to change, and I think the bumps are still being ironed out

My mind was blown! I love this for Rachel because now people don't have to worry about her playing the shot in the dark because she played it. With the idol as long as she keeps it a secret/only tells the right person who won't tell anyone else, maybe Sol (?) this can be huge!

To me, Genevieve is the front-runner to win because Rachel has too much heat too early in the merge. We'll see if there's a big dynamic shift as we plug along. She is also up there with those 2 as possible sole survivors.

My hot take on Andy is that as much as Im enjoying his storyline, I just dont like that he is so obvious about enjoying blindsiding others. Like he shouldn't have been smiling when Sierra was voted off since she is a jury member and she did seem very bitter where she will likely never vote for Andy in the end. So as much as he is enjoying himself playing the way he wants and avoiding the block, he is also lacking in actual jury managment. Even if he is good with his words, I just dont see him winning in the end because he is playing like a rat.

Andy only reacted to Sierra and Sam playing like rats. Good chance she'll have enough time to chill and enough self awareness to remember the crap she was saying about Andy during the days leading up to the blindside. Ya, he shouldn't smile, but he was hardly the rat in this scenario.
