I despise TikTok (every single thing it stands for) and there is at least proof that the CPP used TikTok data to spy on pro democracy protesters. They identified individuals, locations, communications and activity. A whistleblower testified in court. I am also sure the goverment has much more information than they tell us.

The reason Tiktok should be sold. Is that Grindr was going through the same shit. Then some DL GOP didn't want their info to china, so China was told to sell them to an American company. So TikTok can do the same thing!

Hmmm, I personally don't know much, but I thought China had banned a lot of American companies' social media platforms, then they just copied those social media platforms and slapped their own company names and funneled that money back into their own country. China isn't big on copyright infringement and those type of things, so they have a lot of knockoffs. A USA company needs to just replicate most of TikTok under an American company with a different name. It's wrong, sure, but China would copy in a heartbeat. Doesn't bother me either way, if they do or not. Maybe American citizens wouldn't feel so shellshocked if they did. China's government would upset, but they just gotta look in the mirror.
