HOLY SHITTTTTT TWO BLINDSIDES WITH IDOLS IN THEIR POCKET IN A ROWWWW
100% didn’t see Chelsea going coming into the episode or until her name was mentioned, but I did kinda see this coming once Missy brought her name up. I wanted a Missy blindside because of how shocking that would be, and it felt like they were giving clues for it with Elaine saying that if you love blindsiding, maybe you’ll be blindsiding, and then Rob saying it could be anybody. Didn’t like that Sandra said Elaine doesn’t know the vote all the time or whatever, she literally made the move on Ronnie and voted correctly on the Vince vote..

I’m loving this season, probably a better first four episodes than DvG. Four HUGE blindsides, two (in a row) with idols in their pockets, and the episodes have been great outside of tribal too, like Noura trying to be controller and then sitting out. LOVEEEE JAMAL, he got a bit of a bad edit so I don’t think he can win, but I do think he’ll be a big player/villain later on. Chelsea robbed btw, but wow this was pretty good

Oh really? I agree with loving Jamal as he was my winner pick before the season. But if anything, I think he's one of the most rootable people here, not a villain lol. He might've started out that way and was playing a little too hard last week, but it really seems like he pulled it back and has a good sense of timing. If anything, I think he's getting a really good edit. His confessional this week where he talked about what he learned from his past relationship literally brought a tear to my eye. Best confessional so far this season. Couldn't help but cheer when he found that idol. And he did it a perfect time where no one was able to suspect he was looking for one. Jamal all the way! I'm not sure if he'll win as you said, but he'll definitely be around for a while, and I couldn't be happier with that. Outside of Karishma who I hate (seriously it's been a long time since I've been this annoyed by a castaway), this cast is overall extremely strong, and there are like 7-9 people left that I'd honestly be totally happy with winning.

If she has been applying for a long time she must have been a fan for a long time, I even think she said in the second episode that she was a superfan that's why I can't understand why she was snuggling up to Dean (who sucks at this game) and giving people a reason to vote her out. Even though Chelsea probably didn't deserve it, I do feel like her coupling with Dean and not having deeper relationships with people cost her the game. I don't blame her for not playing the idol but tbh to be that out of a vote, like don't you notice conversations happening in your own tribe? I think she made a horrible move coupling with Dean. Also, love the fact that Dean's bad performance at challenges is being called out. Like seriously the guy isn't good if it's not physical. LOL, finally someone said it. He is pretty cute though, hahaha.

while i did feel bad for molly, this elimination was on a whole other level of nonsense. at the start of the episode, karishma was described as the obvious boot by the rest of the tribe. what saved her? i know the showmance could be trouble down the line, but it's literally just two people potentially sharing the same vote. not worth eliminating chelsea or dean just for a single shared vote. karishma doesn't have any redeeming factors anymore and is intentionally ostracizing herself from the rest of the tribe, unlike chelsea who is an actually active member of her alliance. i hope they have a second chances season in the future for people who never made the merge, so chelsea and molly can show their potential.

She should have known as a superfan that the woman always gets voted out when your tribe view you being in a showmance with a guy. All that over someone like Dean. Dean, with his dumb smirk, totally sucks at Survivor. He may even be one of the worst contestant in Survivor history. He had the nerve to throw Karishma under the bus when he has been equally bad at challenges, he even lost miserably at two puzzles while Karishma only failed one. He didn't even listen to Elizabeth when she was telling him to go under the bar, there's a reason why she said you have to go under, but he just says "hey lets go over" ignoring the only person who saw where he had to go. Not only does he sucks at challenges but he also sucks at the social side of the game by being in a showmance relationship with Chelsea. That's one of the oldest rule in Survivor. He also sucks at the blindsiding part like when Vince was sent to the Island of Idols and he decides to tell the tribe to split the votes in front of Karishma lol. He's just horrible at every part of the game. Can't understand how this clown was chosen to be on this show.

I thought Chelsea was robbed til I rewatched the episode. The talk in tribal shoulda tipped her off. All that talk of a stray bullet and Plan Z. Plus Missy and Tom wouldn't be so mean to Karishma if Karishma was going home. Chelsea went in thinking Karishma but the conversation should have spooked her. Even if she didn't think it was her the plan didn't include her and she shoulda played it to be safe.

Might be an unpopular opinion, but this season for me is definitely worse than DvG's first four episodes. This season has been entertaining.... but way too much too fast. I mean, tell me everything you remember about Chelsea- she had an idol, a showmance with Dean, part of the girl alliance, was the one saying that she was scared about the theme being Island of the Idols... and that's about it. We knew much more about Jessica, and Jeremy, and Natalia... those episodes and even Pat's medevac were much more entertaining for me- it was the right level of blindsides to where it was entertaining, but not presented as illogical- the only satisfying of the four votes was Ronnie. Vince was sad imo, but I accepted it. Molly seemed so illogical but I was glad it happened because it was gonna make that tribe more interesting. Here? It seemed so stupid, and there was nothing at all leading up to it- this was the first episode we heard of Dean and Chelsea's showmance existing- how the hell is this more of a priority than Karishma? If the edit showed why, that would be one thing, but its not! It's the same thing that bothered me when Eric went home- yay I'm happy for Kelley, but what happened to Eric/Gavin combo? We knew nothing about the Kama dynamics until it was time for them to break up, and thats bad storytelling and bad editing. I do feel like I know these castaways more than the EoE ones, but the editing has still been bothering me a lot. What happened to Vince/Tom/Elaine? What happened to Tom being with Chelsea and Dean? Episode 3 didn't justify why Karishma was an outsider- the first thing we really heard about that was that she hurt herself and nobody came and now all of a sudden the womens alliance no longer exists? Storylines drop in and out of nowhere! At least a Missy blindside would of made more sense for Elizabeth/Elaine, but obviously Survivor can't change what happens. What they can change, however, is the editing, and this editing did not justify Chelsea's boot at all. That being said, I adored Vokai today- Noura's IoI experience was hilarious, especially when everyone else was talking about how they didn't want to go and Noura was just like 'sure I'll go.' Glad that Vokai didn't go to tribal council as then the episode would of been like Episode 2 with basically nothing of Lairo. I must admit though I completly zoned out in Jamal's confessional over his idol find though he's becoming more fun to watch. Super excited for the swap!

Even though I find this season to be decent so far, I completely agree. This season could have done a much better job with storytelling. But unfortunately, I don't think people would care cause some Survivor fans only care about blindsides and nothing else...........

Based on how much I enjoyed the episodes, they’re pretty close. DvG maybe more, but I don’t like when an episode doesn’t have a tribal council, so Pat going in the premier kinda sucked. Natalia blindside was one of my favorite ever though so dvg first four may still be better. But I’ve enjoyed every bit of this season (not just blindsides and stuff) so far apart from the Vince blindside feeling somehow underwhelming to me

@@zpsurvivor It's funny cause I remember you saying before that the tribal council can define the episode or make a worse episode better and I definitely agree with you on that (see John's episode in DvG) but at least for me I feel like the outcome especially to this episode did the reverse- I loved a lot of the episode (especially Vokai as I said) and then tribal council was frustrating. With Natalia, I remember her wanting Natalie out the episode before but not getting her way- the foreshadowing was much better to that blindside than it was to this. There was probably some level of foreshadowing but it was definitly much harder to see- not that I want to know what's gonna happen, but when it happens it should make sense. Despite its glaring flaws, at least Rick going in the fourth episode of EoE made sense afterwards even if at the time it was really suprising and not the outcome I wanted- it made sense that Wardog sided with the girls as he did just stick his neck out for Kelley, it wasn't just a one episode storyline and one episode storylines bother me a lot. That being said, I am really hopeful that this season can turn itself around because I love this cast! Loving Elizabeth, Elaine, Lauren and Jamal (both of which finally came around for me this episode), Noura, Jason, and Tommy especially. Missy and Aaron while I'm not super fond of either of them I like as characters, especially Aaron. Kellee and Dan are cool too and while we haven't seen much of Jack or Jannet, I don't mind either of them. IoI, while takes a lot of time, I've been ok with and been surprisingly entertained with every episode. I don't dislike this season at all, and definitely a step up over EoE, but its still far away from DvG at least for me.

Kangablue I agree, the first five episodes of David vs Goliath is one of the best modern stretches of episodes in a while. I thought the premerge was overall better than the postmerge.

I don’t understand why Elizabeth and Elaine wanted to keep Dean over Chelsea. Get rid of Dean to sever the power couple AND strengthen Chelsea’s allegiance to the girls. However I will say that i feel like Missy was pushing a bit too hard for a big move.

This move made no sense for Missy. Definition of "BiG mOveZ" atp. She took out someone who was gonna remain loyal to her, lost Dean’s trust and saved someone who wasn’t remotely gonna work with her in the long run. A whole "showmance" had to be created in order for it to make a BIT of sense.
