I thought noura was gonna go out in chaotic, noura fashion, but she managed to stay.

This is honestly one of the saddest votes ever. Karishma has made history in many ways, she has the most votes in survivor history, and she is in a very small group of women to correctly play an idol. Karishma is truly a legend and a survivor icon. Her storyline of her husband and her journey has been probably one of the most raw and human thing to witness in this game. I just want to say I'm so proud of Karishma. As the first indian on the show, it really took survivor 20 years, it was the first time ive ever been emotionally attached to a contestant on any show. Her speaking of being isolated, the stereotypes of the indian culture, being under pressure, it all connected with me and thats why I got so upset when people spoke of how useless she is. I think privilege shows sometimes and thats fine, I dont expect people who haven't faced that type of discrimination to understand, but I want it to be made clear, that if having Karishma on the show resonated with ONE indian fan in me, im sure it did with many others and useless is the last word that should be used to describe her. Not only does representation matter, Im so proud of the way Karishma played the game. She was the ultimate underdog and holds the record for having the most votes against her. She was the only contestant this season to find and correctly play an idol. She had started to make huge moves recently and I think that she's an underrated competitor. In conclusion, if you felt annoyed with my obsession with Karishma, Im sorry, but Im not sorry. She's given me hope that reaches beyond the game of Survivor and having her on the show is groundbreaking for Survivor as a whole.

Man, I've never seen a Survivor season take such a nosedive in quality starting with the merge like this one. This one started so good and has been really bad merge onwards.

@Lucien Completely disagree, the pre-merge was excellent. Every tribal had a level of uncertainty, the island segments with Rob and Sandra were unique and interesting, and everyone was playing hard, making nearly every vote a blindside. Starting with the merge it turned bad for several reasons: - The Dan situation was gross and other players using it to manipulate the situation and gaslight another player crossed an ethical line that transcended the game. - The island segments now have either been nonexistent or contradict the previous ones. “Hey, you found a note in the woods, something anyone on Survivor would obviously grab. Ha ha, joke’s on you, you lost your vote. Next time, don’t take that risk, even though every other lesson has been about taking risks, or at least having the option to think about it.” - It’s been a barrage of bad game play and poor decisions. Kellee not playing one of her two idols probably being the most egregious. The game play has gotten much weaker merge onward. Even Tommy, who I think is going to win, has not played the most impressive game. Anyone who walks into tribal with no idea they’re potentially getting at least three votes is playing too naive. - The worst part has been the editing. It’s fallen into that Game Changers, HHH, Ghost Island, Edge of Extinction trap of under-editing certain people and pulling the same bait and switch routine over and over again. Gee, Lauren is really struggling in the challenge and Elaine seems solid, could it be Elaine is going to suddenly drop and Lauren will win immunity? Gee, it looks like the tribe turned on Noura at tribal, could it be Karishma is still going? The editing has made a number of votes since merge really obvious and underwhelming. This is not a case of, “Oh no, my favorites are gone, this season sucks now,” as that’s not true on my end; several people I like including Janet, Elaine, and Noura are still there. This is a case of the game play has become weaker all around and the editing has gotten much worse.

I think this move made by Dean and Elaine is one of the dumbest in survivor. If Dean didn’t talk, Tommy would have been voted out in a 4-2-2 plurality vote. But if Dean and Elaine voted Noura instead of Karishma, Karishma would have been saved and Elaine could have possibly saved her idol for the next tribal, while also getting out an original Vokai. Voting out Karishma at this point only digs a deeper hole for Elaine and Dean. Kellee said it best, “these are the dumbest moves.”

yep laura morett even had to get voted out twice to get 19 votes. and if i'm not wrong, phillip was in second with 17 votes but he made it to final 3. karishma got all 22 when she just made the final 8. iconic

@Lucien kellee said in one of her exit interview that karishma was like her strategic partner after the swap when before swap it was jason and lauren. she was also in an alliance with missy and aaron called bench of trust iirc. so she definitely is more strategic than the edit shows us. and i also think since she found the idol she has started to play more strategically.

Can we appreciate that if Karishma had to go, her personal journey came full circle at the Loved Ones Challenge and it was honestly my favorite part of the episode to see that. That being said, I'm glad that if she had to go, she left as the most logical person tonight and while I will be forever pissed that Dan/Dean outlasted her, I can say proudly that Karishma is definitely a better challenge performer than Dean so #TeamKarishma #Proud Also, all these people who were never the nicest to her, she is now on the Jury and #KarmaKarishma will get her vengeance.

This episode could have been the perfect time to blindside Dan. The 4 that stood behind on Ponderosa could have convinced Janet to get Dan off. And hell, after all that chaos at the tribal council, you'd expect Noura getting the boot. I mean, it definitely felt like it would end up that way.
