That's what I did. b-l-c-l-c-b and then I lost the 7th symbol. They did the same thing in a different season with ???colors???.......... I was able to go more than 4 rounds with that one before I finished 4th or 3rd overall. I wish I could remember the season and the actual items measured.

Im surprised at how many people got out at first! I was playing along and used alliteration to remember them "barrel, box, boom, boat, compass, lantern." Changing the names of the items to something similar helps immensely, and even though the final two items in the list dont follow this pattern, its not too hard to just remember the odd ones out either

Played in a series of rounds, the host will show the castaways a list of symbols or colors. When the host has finished, the castaways must show the same symbols/colors that were presented to them in the order that was previously shown. Showing the wrong symbol would result in the castaway being eliminated from the challenge. The last contestant remaining would win.

You could hold a specific finger on each symbol to help remember the order

if they were smart they would have put the 1st pattern to use, after memorizing: barrel, crate, cannon, ship, compass, lantern, they should have assigned those to numbers 1-6. in round two they should have memorized the pattern as "1636513" with the numbers corresponding to their position in the first sequence, and they should have broken up the numbers into groups meaningful to them. for myself, i would have grouped it as "1" "636" "513". i also would have kept a rough visualization of the movement needed to go from number to number

that's making things a thousand times more complicated lmao. you not only have to memorise the number sequence, you also have to memorise the sequence from the previous round AND work through which number represents which sequence. Done all under 5 seconds. that's not very impossible considering the stress they're under and how tired they are
