I installed security cameras for a business once. "Motion detect mode" NEVER works right. You NEVER get enough detail on stuff you want to be of any use, and you always get way too much of dust, rain, snow, insects, etc. Trying to tweak and fine tune the sensitivity and "hot zones" is an exercise in futility. Having cameras in constant record mode was the only option that made sense. In this case you would need a camera in constant record mode with enough memory to record several hours before looping. Then a motion-detect game camera with a synchronized clock so that if it triggers on something but just misses it, you have a time stamp to go back on the continuous footage. Just a suggestion.

It is true that the circuits in base security systems are super simple and no AI or 'fuzzy logic' used in them. Specifically,l humidity, snow, dirt, leaves and wind can false trigger them. A falling leave or a close fly/bee/wasp/mosquito will be past the camera before it is turned on. Advanced systems have a rolling background buffer so when triggering a cam, it can keep the recording leading up to the trigger. Science is the ONLY way to prove everything and always wins over just emotional 'oogie boogie' opinion thinking. Period. OH I have a better idea for a bigfoot research center. A Tech forest bigfoot playground with a spiritual center in the middle. I am wiring about 160 acres with Cisco business mesh net, access points for hard wired power by battery powered inverters. This is surrounded with 4x 160 acres around it with all forest. I am in Alberta, and live North of Nordegg, and here I have bears(yes I poked with a stick), a black cougar(seen 250 m/yards), regular cougars, wolves, ,coyotes and me. As a farm boy, hunter(bow and gun), IT Certified for decades at all levels, and a renaissance man I am getting ready to take on some challenges, with nature, and I hope Bigfoot happens by. I will be luring them as well... and be using CE5 type protocol for other research. Bring it on.. "I dare you to try me." is my moto. This attitude and Les is a good example of just how many Canadians in the west think, especially Texas North (Alberta). "Logic over all, but open to all, if by proof of all, and all not opinion. " I am more that capable of choosing 2-3 ready backpacks _right now_ and disappearing into anywhere... for _any_ reason. I refuse to scare. I work on it all the time, since 4 years old actually. The more you do, the more you can keep your rational mind in control and not giving into the fear raised by the h Here is how to ONLY way deal with fear and get though it. The way through ALL FEAR is to do nothing but shift your mental focus o this one thing..... As with everything do this or _die._ . You will know you have to.. because you will realize you HAVE stopped doing it. _C o u n t y o u r B r e a t h_ in 7 - hold 8- out 4, hold 2 While Telling yourself to _just wait just 10 more seconds_ . Feelings only DECREASE by that. Rationality only INCREASES from that. You must breathe less than 20 breaths per minutes. Why? Ask an EMT - "You will go into shock if you do not." Experience with Creepy Nordegg (this and episode 1) Nordegg is unusually different in a generally subtle creepy way. There is a negative energy in that area specifically. In some younger day my ex wife and I looked at mountain communities, foot hill communities, and others to find investment and l 'homestead' land. When staying in Nordegg researching the area....unexpectedly, a feeling of distinct 'weightlessness' sinks in while there. Somehow one can feel it just looking around the area. This is without any original consideration about that type of 'oggley boogely' thinking and that kinda thing was the furthest thing from our minds. Keep in mind we were 2 very rural farm kids that 'get' and lived around/with/in nature and want to _return_ to it, not yuppies looking for a retreat. I would say the first 18 years shape us the most and we absorb the most, and that was for both of us that could have walked 3 miles(5km) in any flat direction where we grew up, and NOT saw a person. So keep that in mind.... it "ain't our first Rodeo" in rural small town nowhere, or feeling like outsiders, or relationship issues, or self-projection of something else. Nordegg just feels weird. At one point i could not help but mentioned it to her, and she said stopped and looked at me and she felt it too. Yet we still could not deny that feeling, it absolutely did not feel like other places, in a very different way. For the rest of the long weekend there researching it, there remained this background "odd silent' feeling, a 'negativity' remained, no matter the focus. Almost like you went to a ghost town, but were not told it was a ghost town, and never saw ghosts, but came to the feeling it was all weird naturally. _That_ is Nordegg.... not surprised at all it started there. :)

@@AlEtteso It could be temperature that is killing it overnight. You could run it inside to see if it dies over the same length of time with the same batteries. AGM type work better in cold. (expensive) Cheap Wally alcalines will not produce many amps, and if cold enough, the chemical reaction grinds down to a trickle. I have built heated battery boxes before for construction sites. One wires in 12v motorcycle hand grip warmers taped or strapped to the battery sides in a closed box. Very low drain, and last longer. You could do this with a small motorcycle battery of the same Voltage as the trail cam.

I admire and respect Les. The world is a better place because of him. He is a legend and what he has done is awe inspiring. He spread knowledge from so many cultures and the pain and sacrifice he has endured to spread this knowledge is not given enough respect. Because of him I strive for a connection to nature and it has improved my life greatly. I wish one day to meet him, but then again would not want to bother him out of respect. Cheers to you good man. The things we dont understand about our own planet can make your head spin....there has to be something to the bigfoot phenomenon. Les, Steve and Dave are trying to be logical with presenting the unknown. I respect their commitment and courage, wish we can all come together and can put more resources into finding the truth.

I've actually gone out with the intention to find them and had a double sighting the first time and saw another a few years later. The second sighting was last summer. It has been terrifying both times. I have no idea why I even do it, but I love the woods either way. Lucky for me, I know some of the most knowledgeable people in Colorado so I know several areas where they are pretty consistently. If you know the areas they frequent, spend enough time , be willing to go out for several days alone, and have the right energy, you would be surprised how much success you can have. Not always pleasant though... when you have giant trees being pushed down all around you it kinda makes you question why the hell you are there at the time, but the adrenaline rush is great.

I was born in 1962 and have had the same recouring dream for as long as I can remember ,first time I was very young around 4 years old ,I'd wake and short beings in black robe's were all around me holding me down ,when I finally broke free my whole body was sometimes sore for a couple days from struggling to break out of paralysis, over the years I've had this same exact dream I can't count the number of times ,one morning while my 26 year old son had come to spend a few days with me he came down from the extra bedroom upstairs and told me at breakfast :dad I had a terrible dream last nite that scared the hell out of me. My son described the same exact dream I've had all my life ,to the T, exactly as have dream it. I have never told my son of these dreams I have and have told virtually no one ,untill my son told me what he'd dreamed . Now I seriously wonder if in fact it's a dream at all. Oh ,and my son is a big 200 pound tough guy ,as I have always been considered to be as well ,I do not give into fear and i often run to trouble ,not away from it.

@charleysturbos7320 these people are coached by the behind-the-scenes and behind the camera producers for their paycheck. There is always an agenda. There is always a line that is drawn. There is always the potential of going too far so they keep things up in the air, so nobody homes in on anything. Nothing is true, but everything is possible. You see it in the expedition Bigfoot show now where they keep claiming Sasquatch are migrating from Alaska down to California. They don’t want people to know that Bigfoot lives under their noses. They also don’t want you to think anything about the Sasquatch structures that they build out of sticks. They want you to think it’s some hunting blind and nothing more. Nothing could be further from the truth, although I have found instances where I think that is a potential reason for the creation. I have documented hundreds of Sasquatch structures. I have found thousands of footprints. The evidence I have brought to the table, in my opinion, is some of the best out there. Feel free to have a look. I have a lot of videos.

Steve and Les seem to have very different philosophies on this subject. Steve knows they exist and wants the truth put out, more for peoples personnel safety and education. His channel is let people speak openly. Les is a skeptic as he has not personally seen one, and is approaching the subject as a science. At 41:20, is it possible that the apple was hit by something like a rock that triggered the camera but with a delay, thus causing the effect?... This could be tested in a controlled environment. I also wonder if there are GPS devices small enough to be hidden in the apples or bunches of apples to get some data on location and movement of the apples taken. Always enjoyed Les Stroud's shows. 👍👍👍

possible, but the camera was running, something triggered it to run a few seconds before the apple vanishes. This is really strange to say the least. I'd like to see see the footage from this camera from start to finish. If your theory is to be correct, what throw the rock? There is no way yeti is real, unless it has some magic cloaking ability we would have clear, exact proof by now. Lets say there are only a few hundred in the whole planet, then they would be extinct by now or their numbers would continue to climb until they were thousands and thousands. It would be insane if old Les one day finds the only real hard proof that yeti is real.

I guess none of you have been hunting...there is nothing spooky about being on a mountain at night. In fact it's rather tranquil. By the way to think an animal of size couldn't possibly be 100 feet away and not make noise is foolish. I've been 5 feet from 3 cow elk and had no idea until they ran. I've had wolves pick up my backpack from my side and carry it away while I was sleeping (I had salmon roe in it, for fishing) these animals don't lumber through the bushes making untold noises.

Les, when you tell that story at the end about your dream of BF sitting on you, and how you struggled to free yourself, it makes me think of the episode from Bigfoot Odyssey with Mark Barton, BF researcher, from Trail To Bigfoot, who practically had a nervous breakdown when he was camping alone and they came and spoke to him and told him who and what they were, like, in his mind and scared the crap out of him. This wouldn’t be so foreign to you because you had them speak to your mind once before. If you haven’t seen that episode, you GOTTA see it. I think it will have a true ring to you.

The 'rock throwing' event interpreted differently between Les and Todd raises the really good question of how much 'subjectivity' do many experiencers bring to their experience. How much of a witness account is self determined vs what the reality could have been. "I had sasquatch throw rocks at me" vs "I heard a frog jump onto some dry leaves" are enormously different stories when taken back to civilization. Same event.

Well said. At night 8n the woods something small like a frog can seem much larger when all you have is sound to judge. The imagination takes over. Also so many animals make very strange noises cougar, porcupine, fox. Plus ther is always a dog that can say I live you. What if there is the odd bear out there that makes ape like noises. I want sasquatch to exhist but I want it to be for real not in people's imagination.

Les imagined a Sasquatch sitting on him because he was in the woods looking for Sasquatch. Hello. I'm not sure who from Les Stroud's crew will see this, but I hope they will. I'm not sure what Season it was but Les actually filmed a Bigfoot or something Bi-pedal moving across the trail behind where he and Todd Standing just left. I first saw it when the Episode first aired years ago, but found it again on KZbin. The Title is: "Survivorman Bigfoot | Episode 1 | Alberta | Les Stroud | Todd Standing" The context: Les and Todd had just heard and reacted to a whoop sound to their left. After a brief pause and acknowledgement they moved on down the trail. While Les is narrating the camera picks up an image moving from right to left behind him over his right shoulder. Time in the video is 24:10 thur 24: 26. The exact moment is 24:21. Hopefully some viewers will look this up as well.

Love how Jeff is "allowing" you to place trail cams etc... wish I owned a whole mountain to dictate who can and can't put a trail camera up.

I've seen footage of a small pine marten carrying off a full apple stuck on a tree. The large apple was no issue for it to pull it off the branch it was stuck on and carry it away intact. Think that was on Mountain Beast Mysteries channel. Clearly the pine marten, and other critters, can take them doing so undetected is another issue, but technology fails all the time. Would love to see Les return to some of these places he actually had some odd occurrences, especially as again it's been a number of years and technology has improved.

How do you explain the object 6 feet off of the ground at the end?
@buddhamack1491
@buddhamack1491 2 жыл бұрын
@@Dee-nonamnamrson8718 I'm not trying to explain that part (or any other) away. Just pointing out that this is extremely weak evidence on its own. There can be explainations for most of this, so unless better, more compelling, evidence comes up people are well within their right to remain unconvinced. I've had my own odd incidents on several occasions while camping, I'm still yet to fully believe as I havent seen it with my own eyes.
