I’d love to watch a S&R show! From the Rescued and Rescuer’s perspective. Like, not actively running from them, but getting into the most challenging spot! That would be awesome.

I love the idea of having a show with search and rescue looking for you. The show would highlight the hard work that those heroes do to help people. I'd also be super happy to just sit through a video of you going into depth about how you approached filming. I personally don't know much about filming but I think it's super interesting.

If you look at his new commentary on bigfoot smokey mountains he mentions the "big foot/creature/man thing" you pointed out and how he actually looked at it. I don't know if you were the first, but I think you were so I'm just letting you know so you can check it out. he just says people commented, but i remember you pointing it out to us (me), so that's kind of cool, maybe you sparked that. it came out today/yesterday.

Proud of you for getting the scope done, brother! I'm a fair deal younger than you, but I've been battered all my life by bowel issues, specifically crohn's disease and colorectal cancer... long story short; the scopes are literally a piece of cake, the "hard" part is the drinking of the prep like you were preparing to do while filming this commentary. The scope itself you're out cold and don't remember a thing, wake up and ride home, then sleep easier with peace of mind that you don't have anything going on in there to worry about.

I never go out on a trip with just one map. It it's a multi-day trip across (or round) longer distance, I bring the official map and at least one copy I've took of it. Usually two copies. Keep the copy in a ziplock bag and the real map in my backbag. For shorter "oh I want to check that out" I take a printout (or several, of the whole area and then some close-ups) as well as having it downloaded as image on the cell phone.

i did a small survival trip this summer in the romanian mountains. we did have a micro gas stove and tents, frozen meat and sugar rich candy. There are many bears so it's kinda dangerous but will be back to go for a longer run. There is fresh water everywhere and wood also and fish to catch. Great place to train except the bears are kinda scary. Thinking of it I did a solo trail there and had 1 bottle of water and no food. It was 35 degrees celsius and suddenly it started to rain. The trail got extreme slippery and dangerous, 1 slip and youre a goner. I managed to shelter for 30 min and backtracked the trail through some slippery trails but managed to get back on safer trails. Its hard cause its hills and it takes a lot of energy to hike up and down in the full sun and knowing a bear could pop up also. 1 time i went off trail to shortcut going up a mountain, almost made it but it got to dangerous, had to backtrack down and adrenaline running and getting really tired, it was so fucked up going down and had to really take it slowly. Dont go off trail
