I’m certainly glad that he is making (or at least releasing) new episodes, but given his age and the stress doing these sorts of authentic survival shows can be, I wouldn’t be upset if he moved to doing shows like the foraging series he’s done with his chef friend recently or perhaps something like the show where he oversaw a bunch of teens doing survival challenges. I’m just honestly glad that he didn’t let that car crash put him off for good. Survivorman was one of the few survival shows (along with Ray Meyers) who did a good job staying grounded and practical. It didn’t have the stupid risks and bad advice of Bear Grills drinking his own pee or climbing down random holes in the middle of the dessert using a pair of logs. It didn’t have the sensationalism of Naked and Afraid. It didn’t have the behind the scenes drama of Dual Survival after the first few seasons. Or the stupidity of that short lived show where the hosts had a car to survive in (and an obnoxious driver who acted like a spoiled frat boy that wouldn’t listen to the survival expert). Survive This had some promising moments, but I feel like it focused too much on the hosts fooling around with one another. And I honestly barely remembered Man, Woman, Wild.

That was beautiful French harm at the end. I spent 4 months on a tropics island without leccy, phone and roads 20yrs ago; though inhabited the locals taught us a lot on how to get by. This brought me right back.

Les Stroud the type of guy to take the Playstation controller off of you when its only been your turn for 5 seconds, to show you how it's done.

And you’re the type of guy to not get common sense as to why he’s demonstrating this video to you in this sort of way it’s not to diminish the other guy in any way. It’s he is using him as an example, but you’re too ignorant to see that.

Les doesn’t waste time playing computer games 😂

@@benjimanleeplaying games is not a waste of time. At least not any more than watching a television show, or movie, or a KZbin video, or a board game... I can go on. You’re not special or superior for not playing video games.

Bob plays the role of "bumbling fool" in this episode. Poor Bob gets nagged by Les more than his wife (or more likely, husband)

I like how Les said "We made one mistake. WE didn't establish how long you planned to be gone and I thought what you were going to do would take much less time." It might seem like a small thing but especially in potentially high stress times it avoids saying "You messed this up" and turning it into an argument.
