Unbelievable, as time passes we lose the witnesses to all this sickness. We will only have videos left. Back in about 1987 , I worked in small US factory. Talking to one owner he showed me his tattoo when he was in a camp. I almost fell over, being 20 y.o. Back then no internet only some tv about this stuff. He spoke briefly about his time then but must have seen I felt for him. A couple of weeks later needed a car he offered me a loan to pay back from my check. His name was Richard choneck, spell check, he was a great man. We can never forget and never allow the evil beat us.

For Susan Warsinger (née Hilsenrath), the evening of November 9, 1938, began with anticipation about her mother’s birthday celebration the next day. Her excitement gave way to fear as she and her brother were awoken at 11 o’clock at night by bricks crashing through their bedroom window. Listen as Susan describes her family’s experiences that night and during the aftermath of the pogrom.

I have not forgotten that today is the anniversary of this terrible, dark corner of European history. Thank you for preserving this lady's testimony.

Listening to this at home in my pjamas in the evening and imagining how terrifying this must have been, even more horrifying knowing the police stood by watching. First hand testimony is beyond powerful.

Yes as much as the apathetic neighbors and those throwing the rocks as she said.

My condolences to y'all. I'm half black and German. My Great Grandfather was in the S.A. Never meant him. I'm fluent in German read it and write it. On behalf of my Great Grandfather Iam sorry. My KZbin is name is Hurkules. Because the City Iam from is called Kassel. And on top of the city skyline is a huge castle like structure called Hurkules. My Wife is Liberty. Being that she is from New York.
