I'm listening to Jimi everyday in 2023. There's just something about him, his voice, his personality. What a huge loss to the rock world but so great we can still hear his songs with Survivor, his personal CDs, recorded concerts and interviews. Absolutely the greatest singer. Nice range and also as I have read, perfect pitch. 🥰

He was needed his own chart topping hits in the 90s, during his solo career, but not just singing Survivor songs under the Survivor name. That's why he didn't become a big superstar!!!

I saw them live when they opened for REO Speedwagon in the 80's. It was a flawless performance by both bands, I remember the lead guitars truly energetic and into the songs, all of them! I saw many concerts, many I wished I could see again, but the tour with Survivor and REO together peaks as the greatest memory.

As I've said formerly, Jimi and Jim were truly the enduring shining stars in this band. They are sorely missed! However, a HUGE SHOUTOUT to all the members who made Survivor what it was back in its 80's prime. Nothing better illustrates how vital ALL of a band's elements (bass, drums, bogs vocals...) are, as does this clip. In your day, Survivor, you were amazing--yes, even you, Frankie.

Such an iconic rock band in many ways of a league all to itself. I don't know if having so different performers such as guitarists or lead singers is a blessing or a curse for the band as individuals.. or even as a band as a whole.. but certainly Survivor has produced amazing material that many will enjoy for generations to come! Without a doubt Survivor has had a couple AMAZING lead vocalists and not not many bands have been able to pull off a switch of its front man and yet still as a whole be embraced by the majority of their fans. It's gotta be one hell of an experience to be such a talented and gifted lead singer that you are sought after by such well established bands and can truly propel these groups to new levels and then still be of such confidence that you can explore other endeavors!!.. never getting locked into one place. Most bands that survived the test of time for most part stick together.. REO for example.. I'm certain the music industry is a grueling business at time's! But when you got the talent you can go wherever your dreams wish to take you! Jimi sounded amazing here to me! And the passion expressed in this performance 30 years after the original... hard to believe he would be gone to the stars in just a few months after this! .. amazing singer! Amazing and iconic voice!

Now. How on earth do 26 people manage to dislike this video? Jimi Jameson is an all-time great vocalist. and this song is extremely difficult to sing. Especially when it's not falsetto or soprano. It's pushing his voice to the limits. So, I guess some people listened to the guitar solo and got bored quickly.
