I mentioned this before but this moment in my nursing career blew me away. I was administering medication from a trolley outside a ladys room I heard crying and I went in. She was sitting at the edge of her bed and upset after her daughter had left. I sat next to her. Her daughter had left Susans cd on playing from an excellent cd player. Wild horses was playing. We just sat quietly holding hands while Susan sang this amazing song. It was a captivating moment in time for us both sitting together holding hands for the duration of the song and taken to a different realm for that few minutes. God bless all the residents in care homes today and always x

This woman is the first one I've seen Simon Cowell genuinely like. She was devastated after losing Brittan's got Talent , and she thought she'd be instantly forgotten (like most of the runners up have been). Then Simon signed her to a record deal. He 100% had her back. Simon said he owed her the chance for at least one record due to what the show and he had put her through those months. It's the one Artist I've ever seen Simon actually care about (on a personal level)

I agree, as a performer who’s seeking diagnosis, it is really hard! I will just point out (in case you aren’t aware), unless Susan still uses the term ‘Asperger’s’, avoid using it. It’s out dated and most with Autism have decided to rid that label as they they don’t want to be associated with the person who it’s named after due to his beliefs etc. so be careful if and when you use it. It’s best just to say ‘autism’.

That's not true. She's mentioned this before in interviews (and I did a quick verification on her Wikipedia Page) but she'd sent off demos as far back as in the 90s but like she said in her first audition on BGT no one really gave her a chance. Then she really focused on caring for her aging mother. And at one point with encouragement from her vocal coach and her mom Susan was supposed to go on the Xfactor but chickened out bc she was afraid she'd be judged on her looks. It wasn't until her mom died that she got the courage to go onto BGT and of course the rest is history.

Almost 6 years ago to the day, I played this very piano composition at my mother's funeral. The words were not sung, but they seemed to somewhat summarize the relationship we shared for 49 years. Losing her was by far the saddest day of my life and I can't wait to be reunited with her to tell her how much I love her.

@@Kevin-cf4wg look just because you are lost & think this is the end some of us have proof from those that have passed if you ever had a loved one give you a sign when you asked for it while heartbroken & crying your eyes out you would finally BELIEVE! My younger brother passed away of a sudden heart attack….the last time I saw him about a week before he passed he came to my house after midnight & we are both night owls but I did say to him…”what are you doing out after midnight?” Well about a week after he passed I was missing him so much I cried out & say Kev you need to send me a sign so I know you’re okay! Well all of a sudden the song “After Midnight” came in the radio & I didn’t remember our conversation at the time but it was a contest that you had to guess what the three songs that they just played had in common…it was times of day….a male called in & won when they asked him his name I almost passed out he said KEVIN KNOWLES! That was my brothers name….the man said the name Kevin but the last name was robotic like it was made by an answering machine! A few things have happened like that and most were within weeks of my brother passing….so if you don’t want to believe then I TRULY FEEL SORRY FOR YOU! If you don’t like that people talk about the Lord then move on, no one asked you for your OPINION, NOT FACT!

In the opening minutes, when she is introduced for the first time, they pan to a lady in the audience making a sneer when Susan said her dream was to be a professional singer. Imagine all of those years, living in a world that only judges you by what they see? Inside of this lady was a magnificent voice, a heart of gold and a soul that has been hurt deeply. GOD makes no mistakes. HE fueled her pain with fire. She took that fire and gave the world a voice of an angel. Thank you Susan for never giving up.

@@druidboy76 You are obviously stupid and infantile and have a screw loose. You don't have to reveal that publicly. I've had to look at all the comments because I'd forgotten what I posted about Susan Boyle. I stated "she's a good singer but no better than a thousand of others". One of those is a singer named Jean Crompton whom I wrote 'Footprints In The Sand' for. Of course you are never likely to hear of her. The music business is a mega-money business and there are thousands trying to get a break in it. Only a lucky few ever do, including some a lot worse than Subo.
