Susan performed at the 20th Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Scotland on 23 Jul 2014. She ushered in The Queen to the Games at Celtic Park in Glasgow alongside 4,500 athletes from the 71 nations of the Commonwealth who are competing.

So happy for Susan she went on BGT and showed us all that we should not judge by appearance. Many including myself do not judge by appearance but just saying in general she had many people that seemed to brush her off including the judges before the music started. she wanted to be like Elaine Page well I she has done that even sang with her she was part of the Royal Jubilee and Commonwealth Games and other events too it was not just what she did since the show it is the show of courage/bravery to brush off the people that were doubting her ability she just went out there and proved them all wrong and taught a lesson in the process I think that's the other part I like so much about her not just her music it is just how she was determined she knew she was good and just proved it. hard enough to sing in front of a huge crowd not to mention how many people were not exactly on her side to she started singing. she became that instant hit
