What a mistake to send her over Preston. I hope the Canadian federation learned something from that inappropriate decision. Humphreys never wound up doing a damn thing to further Canadian skating, it took her another 3 years to even get back to the point she'd qualify for another World Championship. Then, screwed Canada there for the 1998 Olympics so they'd have no representation in the women's event... and she just took off and retired never to be heard from again. She was the worst thing to happen to Canadian women's skating in the 1990s and cost them SO MUCH in terms of Olympic finishes and qualifying for spots.

@@Juice_Lover123 don’t Forget that she ranked 9th one month later at the 1994 world figure skating championships ! It was a good performance.

@@briancalgary88You're right. She did manage that Top 10 finish in a heavily reduced field (most of the Top 10 from the Olympics didn't even go to that event), but she fell off the map in 95 and 96, just to come back to mess things up again in 1997 for 1998. Lol
