More Sharpie Prints | Gel printing with a fat marker

I wanted to revisit the sharpie marker on the gel plate just to have a little fun. Plus I was running out of papers from my last marker session. I frequently use them in collage. I just love them.

We learn from our mistakes so as an artist that is a very good thing. I try to experiment small and then when I'm working on a piece I plan to sell I know what to expect. Even then mistakes happen but they can always be fixed.

As a gelli plate beginner I found it very helpful that you also showed the drying time in real time. For me the most difficult part of gel plate printing is timing especially when to pull the print. Thank you for showing us.

You can use a piece of perplex under your plate so you can check the back of your work as you go and don't disturbed your work.

I just found you and have enjoyed watching you experiment. Gives me more confidence to deal with making mistakes and carrying on. You mentioned one time that you need plexiglass for under your gel plate. Just go to the $ store, buy a frame of the same size or there abouts, remove the glass, tape the edges of the glass and easy-peasey....tadah!! Thanks for sharing your vids.

I did buy the plexi and turns out I didn't like it. Live and learn. Sometimes we think something will help but it causes other problems. I guess it's what you get use to.
