@@shushunovafan4301 Sorry, I completely disagree. The video of each performance clearly shows Lobaznyuk not only lands very deep, but almost off the beam where she had to take an extra step with her left leg. Carly's is absolute perfection. Carly's was better in my opinion and much, much more confident and going into the skill with absolutely no hesitation. Lobaznyuk takes way too long to set herself up for that skill and the obvious delay honestly should have had a big deduction. Just like making timely connections, she needed to go into that skill so much sooner and Carly did just that. kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnjYZXhoe7yifM0

@@bagelized, my personal (!!!) judgement is based on Ekaterina's performance, presentation and the numerous comments people wrote under this video. I'd love to write the Chinese gymnast's name, but I find it hard to remember, though I do not see an issue to call athletes by their nationalities. Even commentators who are well familiar with sports and the athletes as well call them as a Kazakh boxer, American swimmer, Japanese judoka, Russian figure skater, Mongolian wrestler etc. If I wrote, "The chinese was overscored, it would be disrespectful and shameful from my side since I wrote the word "Chinese" with a small letter and I did not use the word "gymnast". I respect Chinese people since China is the country where our great singer - Dimash became popular all over the world after competing in the contest "I'm a singer".

She had a lot of moves where she lose sight of the beam. Go rewatch it if u must. And Liu’s overall execution was WAY BETTER. That LONG pause right before the arabian was a major huge deduction and thats the distinction between gold and silver. And tbh, her moves were not as clean as the gold medalist’s. She had a few obvious wobbles. And those costed her the gold.
