I just heard Susan Werner play this at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago last night (April 2023). The miracle is that she sings it for people who might be hearing it for the first time (like me) as if she is singing it for the first time. People's eyes filled with tears, some gave her a standing ovation right there in the middle of the show. She is rare because she can summon that magic sense of spirituality from the depths of her soul and deliver it fresh and new in the moment.

I was there, she was amazing. Sat in the front row and soaked up every word. I saw her walking with a friend after her performance and got completely tongue-tied and star-struck, even though I've met many famous singers in my day. Love her!

May I suggest that this is a prayer that I understand. We spring forward tomorrow from the wilderness of a world wide pandemic. May I suggest that the words of this beautiful song give us the faith and courage to proceed into a new world with some of the wisdom and beauty of this song. March 2021.

Don't know if you will ever see this but my own only son decided to cease living August 21, 2020. Your lovely comment spoke straight to me and I am so very sorry for both of us, enduring the most utterly agonizing loss that one can experience. I can actually say that I understand your pain only too well.

Some counslers sang this at my summer camp this past summer. It is the best place i have ever been to and it changed my life. It made me tear up when they sang it, and i still tear up when i hear it today, almost a year later. Beautiful.

The first time we saw Susan, at Circle of Friends Coffee House in Franklin, MA over 20 years ago, she finished the show with a rendition of La Vie en Rose and she just slayed us (and the entire audience). She since finished her shows with this song and we love it, and her. Stunning performances.

Just caught her at a neighborhood free concert. I saw her once many years ago (maybe 18 or 20 years ago..I'm not sure anymore) I love this song. In life, when things are always changing, sometimes we need to be reminded to appreciate this moment, this day, this life season.

Pretty sure I first saw you at Required Listening in NYC put on by Fordham University public radio station. Have since seen you at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in the late 90's and once at a venue a little north of NYC. Now have to enjoy your CD because we are stuck here in Tucson, AZ. Come perform in Tucson and Phoenix. We'll hit both shows!!
