I wish I could express the special place Martina has in my heart. I've been having trouble with my depression since winter struck here in Alberta Canada, but whenever I watch Martina's videos and hear her voice, it brings me back to so many happy memories. Thank you Martina, so much!
@KingKogi2 жыл бұрын
Big hugs Jade! Winter depression is so tough, and it must be quite cold in Alberta. I’m not sure if you can, but when I was back in Toronto during covid I found bundling up and having a walk in the sunlight at least once a day really helped. Even if I was taking a break from work and just took a 10 minutes stroll. And I’m glad the videos help, sending love from Japan

Am I the only one who has only fond memories of airplane food? 😅 There was something I found very satisfying and comforting about the food. I like how it's in sections.

I find food served cafeteria style from places like IKEA very comforting I didn't even eat at the cafeteria in school growing up, always brought sandwiches from home...

For me airplane food comes with the relief that there are very few customization options, and I don't have to compare the prices because it's already all paid for! Travel and airports especially can be stressful, so it's nice to just chill for a few hours with no decisions to make. Also I don't feel rushed to finish my food!

The clerk aspects in the reviews are always my favorite. "Food was amazing. Great price. The clerk didn't smile at me enough. One Star".
@KingKogi11 ай бұрын
I’ve gotten to know Japanese reviews, and things like “menu was not given to me with enough care” 1 star or “person behind the counter at the cafe didn’t greet me and I felt unwelcome, 1 star” and then I’ll go the same place and it’s just a neutral person who isn’t rude, they’re just not over the top. And then I know the reviews the other way for Canadian restaurants. Google reviews are like little look into the cultures 👀

@KingKogi2 жыл бұрын
Oh interesting, where are you from? In Canada most shops open up, and then remain open until they close. You can get lunch or snacks at a restaurant all day. You may not have the breakfast or lunch menu available to you (if it had time limited deals) but you can always order coffee, drinks, or an item off the all day long food menu. If it’s a special shop, like an expensive restaurant, it may not be open until dinner.
@MadiJunkie2 жыл бұрын
@@KingKogi From Austria :) there are some restaurants which remain open and you can order cake or coffe in the afternoon, but most of them close after 2pm. My Great Uncle nearly died choking on a fish bone. So we always had the rule no talking at the table when eating fish. And children were always given the tail since it has less bones. Having said that, my family's favourite past time was fishing, and it's how my Grandpa's family survived the Depression. That and shooting rabbits, and earning money by diving for golf balls at the golf club. I have no idea what the plan was if any of us started choking though 😅
