Sometimes it seems Nikki is ignored .. people talk over her. I love watching the games. The explinations of the games is great, the personalities are awesome, and the discussions are funny. Just sometimes let Nikki speak :p

I bought Sushi Go and Sushi Go Party. My grand daughter and all the kids I play this with absolutely love it! Neither of my games came with the scoring cards. I kinda like that feature.

Years later this game is still making a splash. Fun little game. Now you have Sushi Go Party and Sushi Roll that have come out since then!

Great game, great episode. I only wished that during the final scoring rounds it was made more explicit how each hand broke down: "three dumplings for so-and-so points, etc." Only because toward the end of the episode I'd forgotten how the dumplings, sashimi, and tempura scored. Otherwise, really great episode. Made me run to Amazon to see if I could buy it. Really looking forward to it being released, the artwork/theme looks great, and I really dig that scoring card.

The new Gamewright version (I think) doesn't have the score card. But the card art is even more adorable.
@irrevenant87244 жыл бұрын
@@EightThreeEight Yup. Honestly I prefer scoring with pen and paper. The running-total-via-card method seems to really risk "Wait, did I already add in the X?" moments. Plus you risk bumping it...

picked this up before Christmas and taught it to my brother and cousins they LOVED it (once they understood the rules anyway)

Cool game! Would have preferred more extended overhead shots to keep up better with what people were trying to work on... But opinions are like belly buttons. ;)

It's not always automatic to play wasabi. If you're heavily invested in sashimi or dumplings you might be better off playing one of those, and early in the round you might be better off playing chopsticks than wasabi. Wasabi + squid nigiri is awesome, but you can't rely on the squid showing up and without it a lot of other plays are worth similar points. Nikki's right.

Where do you get those cards that are used to keep score?

@Lesspics11516 жыл бұрын
But when you score rolls it makes more sense to add up 2nd and 1st place points and split them amongst the players who tied for the first. Doesn't it?
@irrevenant87244 жыл бұрын
Arguably, yes. With this system you could end up with three people tied for first scoring less (2) than the single person in second place (3). But them's the rules.

What is the desgin on the shirt that Lincoln is wearing?
@heccubus110 жыл бұрын
That's a shirt from the out of business company Game Ink. The shirt says "Reiner's Theme-All".

That is actually kinda funny if you know Reiner's game design.

They scored the sushi rolls wrong, when two people tie for first they both get 6 points, he scored them 3 points each. Also during round 2 you pass your cards to the person to your right.
@lisatsen15563 жыл бұрын
I use an app for the scoring. It seems to be splitting 3-3 when there's a tie, consistent with the demo here.

Supposed to pass left right left; the video looks like they passed left left left
@EightThreeEight9 жыл бұрын
I think it makes more sense to pass it in the same direction every time. It's meant to be a conveyor-belt Sushi bar, and those always go around in the same direction (I think).
@augustjologs18 жыл бұрын
+uctriton00 The instruction actually says pass to the left. It's only for the variant that you pass L-R-L.

family friendly 7 wonders? Why is 7 wonders not friendly to families?
@redzoneitg26899 жыл бұрын
Daniel Filippus Without prior knowledge, it's difficult to form effective strategies not knowing what buildings are upcoming and the iconography can be pretty confusing to learn.
@dealerovski829 жыл бұрын
Isn't that the case for every new game? Depends on how many players, but with 3 players I always know what cards I can play.
@PhilGerb939 жыл бұрын
+Daniel Filippus Most families want to play a game without having to spend 15-20 mins learning to play it. That's why it's more family friendly. Also, it's cute and plays faster.
@dealerovski829 жыл бұрын
maybe after playing a few times sushi go families can advance to 7 wonders already having the mechanics in order?
@PhilGerb939 жыл бұрын
Daniel Filippus By family friendly, people usually mean non-gamers. They are light, fun and quick games that can be played when you meet other members of your family.
