I had been many countries around the world in my life, particularly during the last two decades during my retirement ! China is by far one of a few safest countries even for tourists!

Hi, Susie, didn't know you used to live around 徐家汇,Shanghai where I was born and grew up. I've been living in Los Angeles for many years now, but I do go back to Shanghai to visit on an annual basis. It is such a beautiful and unique place. Welcome to my hometown! Recently after a round cruise trip from Southhampton to Norway and Iceland, I drove from Southhampton to Salisbury, Bristol, Cotswolds, Stratford-upon-Avon, Blenheim Palace etc. and enjoyed very much your country by driving this time. Shanghai welcomes you anytime!

20:03 If you go by HSR, it's station to station. By taxi / car, it's point to point. Also, tracks are straight forward. Roads / highways may be devious esp in a city. There may also be shortcuts, The max speed of China's HSR normally clocks at 350 km/hr. Automobiles has speed restrictions lower than top HSR speed. So it's not easy to compare the travelling time between the 2 modes of transportation.

if you miss the train in China, just go to customer service, they will issue you a new ticket for free as I remember. And also you can get 80%refund if you return the ticket
welcome😊😊if u miss a train, you can buy the next train. there're a lot of trains between hangzhou and wuyuan. or you can choose to nearby station of wuyuan, then you can take a didi or taxi,it's much cheaper and quick
Wish you all the best lucks! I'm sure you will have a pleasant experience in your China travel. Please ignore those ungrounded comments. The safety and relaxing vibe in China can be guaranteed. In some occasions, it could be even better than Taiwan. The only thing that is not ideal is that many people don't speak English. And the signs in public places are often only in Chinese. But I'm sure it's not a big issue for you. Enjoy your trip!👍

Woo... I have been waiting for you to visit China. There are a lot of KZbin videos about China made by people from the west. And yours is more interesting because the video is at least more than just food and shopping malls. Waiting for more videos.

Well come back to Shanghai ! Instead of the bond I wound recommend going to the north bond, where you can have a good view of both the Bond and the set-of-four buildings, with less crowd! Airbnb in China is still improving, even in Shanghai.

Experience the life in the mainland. The culture slightly differ from one place to another. The people there have much broader perspectives and tolerances over different subject matters. Like the land mass and huge population, there are just a lot more going on.
Lucky you go in Moon Cake season, not the Summer. I went in Summer this year and it was too hot to go outside.

20:22 One of our (ie Chinese) Olympic women's swimming medalist actually experienced such an incidence (coach driver asked for more money than the agreed upon price while they were in remote area, where they had no way to call for other means of transport) while she was traveleing in 長白山! She shared/exposed this upsetting experience of her on social media. With her influence, the driver was of course penalized~

Welcome to Shanghai, and China, the motherland lol Well, you definitely have lots of fans there, and you are honest about the good and bad sides. I'm sorry about the place you lived, I would not live there. Anyway, based on your skill, you definitely could develop lots of business in the biggest market in the world. Btw, the travel plan was really messy, never heard of people calling taxi to another city, also Didi would be much cheaper and nicer
