Funny story: Some years ago, when Moscone Center in San Francisco was being renovated, one of the electrical shops had a large gang box stolen overnight. The whole gang box. Someone rolled up overnight and stole the whole gang box. This particular gang box was stored outside the "secure" area, so it's not surprising that it was stolen. The funny part is that the only items that were in it were the crew's PPE. The box was found three blocks away from the job site with the locks destroyed but everything still in it. Imagine schlepping a whole gang box a quarter of a mile on city streets - uphill, and by yourself - only to find out you made all that effort for nothing.

Why can't you blame the victim? Yes the crime was committed by the criminal but you also have to be a bit proactive in protecting your property. Didn't even run a cable through them to secure the items in the truck bed.

I am a reality-based man and the reality is you can't leave yourself so open. The thief is dead wrong and deserves whatever he gets. But your first line of defense is vigilance and diligence. @@moisescampos6010Yep. Who would need four Hilti guns for a job. Somebody carrying those Hilti tools where four were needed, would have an enclosed cargo trailer or have the guns locked up in a job-box bolted or welded to the bed of the truck. We welded our Knack job boxes to the beds of our open trucks and even welded our big Miller welders to the bed of our trucks. It doesn't make sense for someone to have four of the same tools when they are $7K each.
