Bro! I'm so glad you mention breathing in that glass dust. You're the first person I've watched to address this. Back in 2007 or 2008, I was in advanced SWAT school and shooting through a front windshield was one of the training curriculum. I immediately saw all the glass dust that the first shooters were dealing with and I knew I was going to hold my breath when it was my turn. The instructors wanted us to mag dump the other vehicle in front of us, so I shot through the windshield as quickly as I could and immediately jumped out of the car so as to not inhale any glass dust. One of the other operators commented that I did my relay extremely quickly and I replied that I didnt want to inhale any glass into my lungs. Those that heard me got wide eyed and began to ponder as to acknowledge that it would be wise not to inhale that glass dust. From that point forward, everyone else that heard me held their breathe and jumped out during their relay.

I got a friend who’s a special ops in Brazil and from time to time he has to enter in favelas. He told me that those pesky full auto Glock are worse to deal with than actual rifles. I was skeptical at first but then he explained: a poorly trained enemy will expose his torso while using a long gun, conversely he can stay behind a corner and just stick his hand out and spray a whole alley with bullets with a G18. In dark conditions and in the heat of the moment the officers can’t see the handgun before they start shooting.

I'm a former criminal and this guy only fucked up one thing today and that was running a stop sign with his entire business in the vehicle. @@devin6201 .....Not necessarily. Having a high volume of fire...aka, the ability to put a high amount of lead down range is a very useful capability in a firefight. Even if someone isn't very accurate they make up for that shortfall by the sheer high volume of fire which puts more projectiles in air therefore increasing the probability of impacting the target with one of more rounds. In the Marine Corps marksmanship was always stressed with the saying "One Shot, One Kill ". As a machine gunner in the Marines we used to joke around and say "One Belt, One Kill". Automatic weapons are very useful for what is known as suppressive fire. An untrained shooter would have his disadvantage being that he is not correctly trained on how to aim, a slow steady trigger pull, shooting at the bodies natural pause ( when you have exhaled and all your muscles are relaxed ) and being able to place multiple shots in a tight group as well as quickly exhaust lying the ammunition in the magazine be countered by the fact that he quickly sends a large amount of rounds towards the target and with the kick of the weapon it could actually put the bullets on target if they started off target. Automatic weapons will kill and maim people just as easily as semi auto weapons. Luckily, most of the idiots that want switches to convert their weapons to fully auto are just gangsta wanna bes that don't know the proper fundamentals of marksmanship. But if you take someone that is trained in firearms they could take a fully auto Glock and be very deadly with it.

Anyone with even 1 week worth of machining training can modify a semi-automatic weapon into a full auto. In fact, some makes and models of semi-auto firearms can be turned into machineguns using parts from a wire coathanger. I guess that federal laws prohibiting ownership of machineguns made after 1986 doesn't stop hardened criminals from making/using them. Furthermore, 3D printers have essentially made gun control impossible.
