Fun story as usual and Jack Benny was entertaining as always. That said, I've got a bone to pick about those Autolite commercials. I grew up on the Rio Grande in a county that's over 90% Latino. The majority of my classmates and many of my teachers were either Mexican-American or actually Mexican. I've lived my whole adult life in Central Texas where many of my coworkers and some of my bosses were Latino. I'm retired now and still have Latino friends. To come to my point, I've never known ANYONE who sounds as ridiculous as Pepito in these stupid ads. Pepito, the Frito Bandito, Speedy Gonzalez and all their ilk are an ugly Anglo-fabricated stereotype.
