It's time for a western, from The Screen Directors Playhouse. As with most of my "Movies for your MIND," the sound quality is really good. Look closely at the cover-art so you can read what Jimmy Stewart is telling the American-Indian . . . THEN read the Indian's response! . . . That pretty much sums things up for the "Old West!"

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie story & James Stuart!! and I'm not old...yet lol Love his style in general & storytelling abilities.. They don't make or allow people like that in Hollywack anymore..

Another great upload, thank you. I remember this as a movie, and a colour comic booklet . Much has to be be left out in any production for radio. But I thank God he gave us a brain to use our imagination to fill in that which was omitted. Thanks again

Obviously, it's difficult to cram a feature length movie into less than an hour, and some of these work better than others. Fortunately, this one works quite well (partly because it has the same actors as the film) and you're right! It's up to the listeners imagination for any audio drama to work. I have a good number of Lux Radio Theater and Screen Directors Playhouse episodes. I always try to post the ones that work the best (in addition to providing the best sounding ones) Thanks again for listening to my uploads, and don't forget there is almost 70 different playlist compilations on my channel. A sad ending of a beautiful love story. The story of the American Indian is sad too. History is filled with the displacement of peoples all over the world from the very beginning.

@@SuspenseESCAPEremastered I suppose I intended to head off the negative and inevitable comments regarding the early history of American Indians and pioneers. I have grown tired of a limited understanding of mankind and his survival. American Indians were just as “ guilty “ of invading other American tribes. The stronger tribe killed, took prisoners and made slaves of other American Indians. I just try to remind others that history of mankind seldom shows mercy, understanding or leniency toward others. It was survival. Sorry if this was a explanation.lengthy
