Disappointing to get beat but when you see that they were playing with 2 Sussex players, one of whom bowled very well. Batting wise I like many of the others are so disappointed with Connor’s loss of form, he gives so much for the team in his bowling and fielding but with 3 games left let’s hope he suddenly comes up trumps because he still would be in my team every week but maybe at present number 4 or 5 . I felt that the bowling and fielding generally was 10% down on normal but Joe was his usual livewire behind stumps( although I wish he wouldn’t take bails off every other ball, slight exaggeration lol). Just hope weather is kind to you in last three games and I am convinced the lads can still finish with three wins.

Very generous of the opposition captain to bring on a pie chucker at 6/80ish, pity you weren’t able to capitalise on it. It looked for a minute that the junkyard dog was going to do his thing again. Conor just needs to keep fighting to get an hour at the crease and not lose patience or belief in himself while trying to achieve it. When I was playing in England there was always the opportunity to play midweek cricket of varying levels which was never an option in Australia if you were ever struggling for a bit of form or exposure.
