Best thing to do is stick a flexible solar panel on that pop roof. Keep that leisure battery topped up for a week off grid easily. I’ve tried and tested this. Works a treat! Love that bed system!

I'm saying nowt 😮 I actually saw the adds and went down and now actually own THIS VAN. Love it ❤ so far done a bit in Devon, Cornwall, Wales, Derbyshire + Cheshire. Very good van and setup just a couple of tiny things that maybe could be improved/better laid out. But overall a great van.

Looks fantastic ! I might have missed mention of it, but surely the leisure battery would also be charged from the vehicle alternator when driving about ? Also why not have a solar panel the full size of the pop top roof. The bigger the panel, the longer the possible off-grid stay. The panels are a lot cheaper now than they were, and It looks like the panel area could be almost doubled on this ?

This is on my one day wish list, as lifelong campers we are looking to upgrade. It’s just about perfect I would maybe have your table do extra duty ie a headboard. Have another socket to put a leg that folds flat maybe use a drop leaf idea with hinges so if your partner wanted to use the toilet they could unbolt one side and get out, but middle stays fixed. I could imagine if you had a way to open tailgate from inside, sitting looking at the view in bed with a coffee. Bliss. It would also be nice to have another set of legs such as a cross set of legs to turn it into an outside table. As campers we take a portable electric hob to cook inside and out. So I would wonder about a portable stovetop rather than built in to give more worktop space or some sort of slider so that you make the most of your door configuration. Anyhow those are my musings.

Can a fan heater be plugged in for heating when stationery?

I love it and would consider getting one but i live in the states. Maybe i should move ? Im really not liking the government going down a dead end road like it is. The only place i would consider living if i had a choice would be the Canidian Rockies or off the coast with my private island.

Hi Could you tell me please if all your petrol imports from Japan are automatics? Do you ever get hold of manual ones? And can you confirm if your autos are traditional 4 speed autos, or CVT type please?

I do like this conversation and the rib bed looks really good. Question though - can an adult sit in the rear seat comfortably with the pop top down? Your head looked like it was higher than the roof Daniel...

I run a 200w heater on our caravan which is surprisingly good. How long could the battery run it for? Also any plans for a new ecamper? Love the conversion but the nv200 is a touch small for us.

Why are all camper vans white, they stand out not very useful if you want to blend i and not get noticed. But good video of the nissan 200. Looks nice to and not to small.

We have a variety of different colours of van depending on models :) white just seems to be a very popular colour and more commonly available.

@SussexCampervansLtd 2 жыл бұрын
This depends on how much usage and what batteries you have, but our all-electric system has 4x Lithium batteries which can keep the fridge, lights, 12v and usb sockets running for up to 4 weeks.

Only really usable in summer months then?. In winter you'd still need a source of heat thats not electric. 2kw wouldn't last very long at all would it

Hi Gary, it's a compact space. In our tests, 400w or 500w is plenty, and that only for perhaps half an hour, to warm through. If the roof is down for the night, assuming one or two people, it's cosy
@hughjasse3375

I have a similar size van, and when on hookup, my 500w plugin heater keeps the van toastie, can't keep it on for long times, as it gets too hot. And that's often in half power, so really using about 300W. I also have a 2K diesel heater, and they feel the same, despite a 2KW Vs 500W. Maybe due to blown air Vs radiant heat element? There's a youtuber Glyn Hudson who uses the electric env200 on campervan tips to cold parts of Europe - he has the 48KW model able to run heating 12 hours a day for a week, stationary. I think petrol with electric, or fully electric, will be the future for definite, the way batteries are developing.
@garyburchgb
@garyburchgb 2 жыл бұрын
@@hughjasse3375 fully electric makes sense, as you can tap into a large battery. However 2kw is not going to last very long in winter. Fossil fuels are still king when it comes to heating. However I do like the hob in this. I live full time in a minibus, and this is designed for summer use on days out. I'm not knocking how it's done though, I like it
@hughjasse3375
@hughjasse3375 2 жыл бұрын
@@garyburchgb For now, yes. And these small vans are a very different beast to large vans. I've had both, for different uses. The electric env200, in town, definitely could out perform diesel or propane heaters, where you can get to rapid chargers. And it's climate control heating - no condensation, and air recycled from outside. I was sceptical about EVs until this year, when I tried a few. I'd love to see the stats on the fully electric fiat Ducato motorhome tourer, but it's early days for reviews. I actually have a background in Electrical and electronic engineering, so I follow it closely. There's been big jumps in technology over the past 18 months to change my mind at Tesla, Rivian, Ford and mercedes. Merc EVs now have a longer range than their diesels. Tesla and Rivian both have developed trucks that can go over 1,000 miles on a single charge. And ford have a lab battery that can do a million miles, and can be recycled. Even in Data centers, you can 10Kwh batteries now that would fit in a small space inside a van - just too pricey now for vehicle use.
