this is great, but i see a missed opportunity in the lack of mentioning nonbinary/trans people, who often face even worse gender marginalisation than cis women. i would be interested in watching an updated version of this video which presents info from people of all gender experiences

Politicians in Stockholm said the policy of “gender-equal” snow removal has failed after the weather brought Sweden’s capital to a standstill last week, with hospitals reporting a fourfold increase in broken bones. The city switched to a “feminist” system of clearing snow last winter but last week’s burst of snow, which threw the city into chaos, has cast doubt on its effectiveness. Hundreds of thousands of people were affected, with the majority of bus routes put out of service and commuters having to wait in queues for several hours. Previously, fresh snowfalls were cleared first from main roads and by areas like construction sites before being removed from pavements and cycle lanes. As men are more likely to drive and women more likely to travel on foot, more women slipped on the ice which led to complaints that the system was sexist. Vice-mayor of Stockholm, the Green Party’s Daniel Helldén, admitted that “equality snow removal” had failed the city, and apologised to residents who had injured themselves as a result. When the Red-Green coalition, comprising politicians from the Social Democratic Party, Green Party, Left Party, and Feminist Initiative, were elected to City Hall in 2014 the introduction of a “feminist” snow clearance was high on the agenda. But police last week said the system is so bad, with ambulances unable to make their way along Stockholm’s roads, it posed a danger to society. Officer Fredrik Ståhle branded the conditions for drivers in the city “deplorable”.

That's the point! Genders are not the same and even all the people are not the same, so all tries of globalist, feminist and other -ists to make them equal in all aspects will fail.

Ever heard the phrase "happy wife, happy life"? We men rely on women's labor, just as much as women rely on men's labor. We have to support women when they are struggling, or we all suffer. And when a rich man tells you that women should suffer, ask yourself how he's planning to profit on that gender division.

Fire Trucks, Police and Ambulances should have second priority over the needs of women walking on sidewalks because women have a very low rate of injury in the workplace. Plus women are needy and need society to help them accomplish the same things men take for granted like not having a hand to hold while walking. The Hip injury is out numbered by women than men because they out live men.

Humans have limbic systems developed over millennia. Trying to brute force changes in 50 years is asinine. Also, feminism definitely doesn’t care about the children in all of this. It’s more important for mommy to have careers than to stay home with her own children. Bizarre world fueled by selfish priorities.

Men and women already have different starting points and resources so treating them equally will keep them in those positions because they need different things to actually get to a place where they can become equal first. If a woman has $5 to start with and a man has $10, giving them both $2 is still gonna lead to the same result even though they were treated "equally".

@Charles Fairchild Ok, I wasn't ready to dive into a deep discussion with this, but since you thoroughly elaborated on this topic, I would just say one thing: all the "women's priveleges" that you listed are in place today, because nothing can make up for all the CENTURIES of women's oppression before XX century (in some countries - even till today). When women were seen as an accessory to their husbands, like they were nobody, as they didn't have any rights and freedoms.
@aliyakassymkhan1319
@aliyakassymkhan1319 3 жыл бұрын
@Charles Fairchild I didn't say that women are getting back at men or that they're making up at the expense of men. I just said that something that's so complicated cannot be compensated in the matter of decades, but it can be taught to newer generations so that inequality never happens again. Please don't say that men don't feel equal, there are so many opportunities for both gender roles.

Boys hadn't failed at school at these rates before the 1980. That's about the same time when feminism was pushing through mainstream and more teachers were female than male and the spirit of '68 had it's break through. The dismantling of gender norms just increased that downfall for boys which is since 1980 rising annually for boys. Boys have not been less "manly" in the past, just the view on masculinity changed. When the positive traits of masculinity, like being active when facing problems, "self made man" image, being successful and protective were seen as something positive and not as something oppressive and "toxic", boys had less issues at school. During the last 30 years school became more and more feminized and more and more programs were created to support girls while forgetting boys. This resulted in more and more desperation for boys and more violence, anti-authoritan resitance and pushing-down at weaker peers. But of course, the answer of feminism to that was not letting boys being boys again, supporting positive traits of masculinity and accept, that boys and girls are different by nature, but shaping boys to a feminine ideal. Because feminism sees everything thats feminine as something positive while masculinity is mostly seen as the cause of all evil. Feminism is cancer.
@morenia20
@morenia20 5 жыл бұрын
What? Give me the data that before 1980's most teachers were men. Is the fact that gender norms continue is what makes boys fail. They feel enmasculated if they choose to study instead of playing. They are a bitch if they show emotions such as frustration & fear. Two things that you will always suffer in mastering any subject. That has nothing to do with teaching girls to study hard, is that parents like you, like to make the boy very manly and undermine studying for other manly activities.

Official link on data that shows men drive cars more than women? Seems to me it is just ones opinion. BTW who drives a bicycle on show?! Even in my shitty country people get ticket if their sidewalks are not cleaned when show falls. Buses become taxis Yeah women got less pain medications than man because of body weight. This is what happens when unqualified people get involved in medical field. My sister(MD) is very frustrated because of it. My conclusion is that this movie is a movie- fiction.This is what happens when unqualified people get involved PS Sweden. Maybe you should work on fixing no-go zones in Sweden first. It is easytyo be progressive in comfort of your home

GodricThe Where do you live that you consider your country "shitty" even if it does all of this? I live in Poland and many people ride a bike on the snow because newsflash: buses are limited to only few places and many people do not have a car. I am from middle class family with one car, my dad is driving to work at 6, so my mom is riding a bike through snow because she is going to work at a later hour. But she rides on the normal roads with cars. Problem from the vid is solved anyway :'D

In Poland I haven't noticed any gender inequality in terms of driving a car. Men and women should be equally encouraged to drive. My mother had always drove me to school when I was a kid, so did many other moms. Moreover, bike roads are still not common in Poland but even if they exist but are under snow, WE JUST RIDE BIKES ON THE ROADS. Crazy, I know. But maybe Sweden should learn gender equality from apparently more progressive countries, such as Poland? :)
