I think Petersson is wrong. . Thousands of years female oppression is not reversed in 50 + years on equality policies which are usually forced by laws rather that they'd have emerged as consequence of cultural development. Thus they're poorly implemented, badly resourced and could even rise more opposition in target groups. Society is full of practices and attititudes - both in individuals and institutions as well- which are sexist and misogynists and therefore keep women and girls undervalued in society. . It would have been interesting to hear Peterssons view in sexual harrassment and male violence which every woman is familiar with, and unfortunally majority of girls as well. How he thinks this everyday phenomenom is effecting on silencing women and is effecting them emotionally and how it'll effect also in women persuing careers and positions of power? It's very well known that f.eg. women in public eye gets much more harrassment and violent threaths than men in same position. Unfair treatment of females is very familiar in many parts of society. It's weird that Petersson as a practicing therapist is not interested of this viewpoint but rather repeatedly argue against women's efforts to pursue equality. . Growing up as a female is still very different experience than growing up as male and that have fundamental effect on women and girls. That's why it's also impossible to really specify how exactly women differ from men. . You poor poor victim, it's not men but rather your own gynocentric thinking is holding you back. Western societies are actually extremely mysandrious, women have protections and support that males in now way have. Men are punished in the legal system much more harshly than women for the same crimes, women's health issues are highlighted and supported while men's are ignored, family courts favor the women over the men in custody, and divorce cases by a huge margin. In academia colleges have become so hostile to men that women are by a huge margin the majority now. Statistics show that 40% of domestic violence is perpetuated by women and that is based on reported cases by men who are much less likely to report it so those statistics are much higher in reality, not to mention that when police respond to a domestic situation the men are always the ones who must leave the home despite not being the aggressor and there are no male shelters for them to go to. If a woman accused a man of sexual assault a man is arrested and charged based on nothing but her allegation, no proof is required and many times it is found out to be a false allegation causing innocent men to lose freedoms careers, finances etc. men are required to sign up for selective service and draft while women are not. If a women cheats on her husband and divorces him she can file for divorce and he is made to pay alimony and support her when she is the one who destroyed the marriage. Men live shorter lives because they are the victims of violence at much higher rates, and work much more dangerous jobs to build and maintain society. All of this while being denigrated by women like yourself.
