I honestly think keeping something just for the memories or because you loved it even if you can't wear it now (maybe doesn't fit) is still a great thing. I don't do this with everything I own, just a few special things. Probably because I don't really buy much and most my favourites have been worn until they are dead. But my mum has been swapping wardrobes lately and finding a few of her old favourites from when she was around my age, not all of these are my style but there are pieces that she finds that are really nice and just have that other meaning and connection to them. I guess I like the idea of being able to see the things I love being used and loved by someone I love in the future as I have been able to and until them having the physical reminder of the good memories.

You know, I think that no matter how difficult it is to part with something, if it doesn't give you joy or if you're not excited about it when you look in the mirror, let it go. I know the pain😁😆 But truly, you put something on, and you should immediately know that that is it, that it's you, that it expresses who you are. Memories are still going to be there, they're not tied to objects. Objects are just objects, great while they last and give you happiness, but it might be time to let them go.
@faustinemicheyl40143 жыл бұрын
I can definitely relate to getting attached to clothes, and especially those from important/special moments in life! Recently I've been trying to remind myself how much value someone else can get from an item I am trying to let go of, and I've found that taking a picture of it has helped me too!
