I am always here for the discussions on the under appreciation of the ability of kids to appreciate good quality productions. Per the Star Trek conversation, I as a guy in his 20’, finds the Motion Picture to be quite interesting, engaging, and really really really well done! I’ve seen it like 10 times probably, and it’s in my top 3 favorite ST films. I am saddened when I know many ppl, especially my age and younger, don’t appreciate the slow, inquisitive and atmospheric style of films like that. It’s Sci-Fi in pretty much its purest form. It allows us to discover this universe, and ourselves, along with the characters as they discover it. I wish more movies were like that, instead turning into a solely action movie and not much more substance than that. Maybe one day 😌🖖 (Cue ST theme song)

The Silver/Bronze age Superman came to Earth as a toddler, he remembers everything about his parents. Everything Byrne did was wrong.
