Wow, great review ODK! That's a lot of Galaxy Edge sabers! I pre-ordered the new Ahsoka ones. They should be here any day now. I keep thinking I like the GE one's as they look pretty accurate, then I get them and am a bit disappointed. I prefer the neopixels hands down. My favorite hilts are Ahsoka, Leia & Luke's, but also... pretty much just all of them!! 😂

Something you missed about Ezra's lightsaber - the hilt feels a lot slimmer than the others. It's probably only a eigth difference but it fits very well in the hand and feels great. Balance is good too. Just wish the volume was a bit lower, it's almost as loud as Plo Koon's.

It's kind of shocking how inaccurate the replicas from the Original Trilogy are when they don't have to be. It's not like they are that complicated. I own FAN-MADE replicas, made mostly of machined metal parts, that are more accurate and more realistic than any of these are. I don't understand why you wouldn't take the time to do it right.

As a HUGE lover of yellow bladed sabers (I was a Sentinel in KOTOR) I am REALLY upset that I missed out on not only the first temple guard, but the limited edition one as well. I also passed on the Refocused Asajj as well since I didnt find it especially appealing but have fomo since it is no longer in circulation. I pretty muc have every other one (except sequels, the D23 set, the new Obi-wan EpIII and EpI, and original ventress) I have nabbed every other one since then even the Halceon one which I dfound for sale in the parks and jumped at the opportunity when i saw it. I also want to say that i love how much more available the hilts and blades are now. You can get so many of them online as well as in BOTH of the star wars stores at Disney Springs! Disney is really stepping up to combat the online resellers and I really appreciate it!

It's really just nitpicking but to be specific jaro tapal's lightsaber wasn't a saber staff as it was made by him to be dual sided but single handed however cal being a human the saber is saberstaff length in his hands and he would later modify into a split saber and then modify again from being two full length sabers to a full length saber and a shoto plus a deoyable cross gaurd on the main blades emmiter (edit was correcting the spell check as it changed tapal to japan)

Hey Andrew, you bet. Just like anything the batteries were out, but unfortunately, when the batteries get low, you can tell because the blade looks a little bit dim and can sometimes appear to be the wrong color. Thank you for watching.

I had the original Hasbro Obi-Wan TPM FX saber and the red button was the activation button. It's weird Galaxy Edge changed that to the stupid location they did. This newer one does look better than the Hasbro one. The Mace Windu AOTC/ROTS saber has always been my favorite one with Obi-Wan TPM/AOTC being next in line. If I get approved for SSI I plan to get me the 89 sabers version for both of these. It is sad that Galaxy's Edge didn't make the Mace Windu AOTC/ROTS saber thinner. They had the chance to make it better. It just seems like a repop of the Master Replicas / Hasbro one. At one point I had all the ORIGINAL Master Replicas FX sabers, including the very first Anakin AOTC one, that gigantic saber. I wish I hadn't either sold them or took them apart... I even had the full Maul saber which I loved to do tricks with. It is sad that they didn't use the actual red buttons as the activation buttons on a lot of the sabers. Compared to like 89 sabers and other neopixel sabers.

youre so right about testing the saber there, i went to downtown disney got they kylo saber and when i went home it wouldnt turn on. so i tried to replace the batteries and when i opened the bottom all the batteries had exploaded and it was leaking residue and it got all over the inside of the kylo saber. but i went back a few days later and they gave me a new one and even tested it out there

I’ve never gotten that question before ha ha if you don’t already have one, I recommend finding a large collection of Sabers and trying all of them to find out what you like and don’t like. You’re probably going to want to look for not just an installer but a machinist who can actually create your invention. Try Kalymian Customs on IG. Tell him I sent you 👍🏻 😉

You didn't miss a thing tbh. If I were you, I'd save up a little bit more and get a serious, screen accurate replica. At least that's what I did and I could never regret it. Txq , 89sabers, Korbanth and all the others are the real deal. They make very beautiful, extremely accurate high quality sabers. Compared to those, the Disney one's are like a bad joke: a cheap looking and naturally cheaply manufactured merch product, for almost the same price like the legit replicas. But maybe that's just me :)

They should also think about making a Baylon Skoll and Shin Halti legacy lightsaber. Along with the Ren, Taron Malicos, Inquisitior sabers like Grand Inquisitior, Trilla, Reva, 5th brother, 7th sister, 8th brother, 9th sister, Marrok, the other lightsaber wielders we saw in Jedi Survivor and a color changing Anakin Skywalker lightsaber inspired by the Clone Wars, Revenge of the Sith and the 5th episode of Ahsoka (Shadow Warrior). What do ya think?

The legacy ones are just the hilts and then you can get a short or long blade, certain ones you can’t specify which blade and ALL of them are one dedicated color with no replacement parts

Bro why do you never talk about Kanan Jarrus? He has a really cool lightsaber! He is 1 of the main Star Wars Rebels characters, a Jedi, he becomes Ezra's master. The Bad Batch even shown him as a young Jedi Apprentice in the 1st episode. He has the same lightsaber in both series except in Rebels it's Green and black, but in The Bad Batch it's Black and Silver. Plus in the first few episodes of Rebels he takes the emitter off, to hide he is a jedi. He hept the emitter on the front of the belt with the rest of the hilt on another area. You should do a video about him and also him and the Rebels, he is Jason (Hera's son) father. I hear his black and silver lightsaber is coming to Galaxy's Edge in November. I did a Photoshop of Ezra's 2nd lightsaber with Kanan's emitter right on the black grip part. Plus I shortened Ezra's hilt on the black grip above the pommel. I want it custom made but no idea how to get it!

To my opinion about Obi-Wan's original lightsaber, it may have thought that Obi-Wan constructed a new lightsaber before Episode II. But however it seems from offscreen, Obi-Wan managed to sense where the lightsaber he had in Episode I is at the bottom in the Theed generator shaft and then managed to find it. And then the lightsaber makes its second appearance in Episode II.

If someone can reach out to Disney about the Cal Kestis light saber if they can add an extended grip at the bottom because is too small if they can just make that piece to extend a least 5-7 inches with a bottom end to make it look a single held lightsaber

I'm not a diehard fan, so I probably wouldn't even get a legacy lightsaber or at least not try to collect them all, but I have to be honest... having inaccurate details? That's a dealbreaker. Even if it looks nicer, when I buy Luke's lightsaber, I want *Luke's* lightsaber. Not a detail out of place. Maybe that's just me. It's also a shame it doesn't work with the "display" attachment, though that can be forgiven considering the circumstances... though I would be willing to bet that what Disney "couldn't" do, some fan has already accomplished with their own custom Luke lightsaber.

I only recently (literally earlier today) saw a replica of Mace Windu's lightsaber and realized just how spectacular a hilt it has. And you're right, it is pretty thin, and that works for it.

The gold neck IS movie accurate for the hero prop. Technically, it was a little more copper, than gold, but it's close. Anyway, after editing the film, it turns out that most of the close-up shots of the prop ended up being the non-hero version.

I had wanted a real style metal hilt saber since i was about nine years old and only recently decided to finally bite the bullet and get one for myself now almost 17 years later. I just got a classic Anakin/Luke saber, and needless to say, I will 100% be getting another! You just don't truly grasp how cool they feel to hold and swing around until you get your hands on one, especially since I've wanted one for so long. I'll probably go for a sith saber next, so it's between Sidious and Dooku for me. But yeah, I can now see how someone could get hooked on buying these things. Truly one of the coolest-feeling thing I've ever held. Pshhh, and I used to think the Harry Potter wands at Universal were cool! (the wands definitely are cool and I personally have the Elder Wand, but they're nowhere near as cool as the Disney lightsabers!)
