I think the reason why some people build a platform is because some seats don't lay flat. My SUV back seats don't lay completely flat and it's at entirely too much of an angle for comfort. Some people are side sleepers and that angle is not conducive to a decent night's sleep 😂 I love your setup.

The sleeping bag filled with couch cushions is absolutely brilliant, I bought cushions sold At Home (formerly Garden Ridge) intended for outdoor furniture, I bet they will work in a sleeping bag, I can’t wait to try this!

I have those same window coverings! And you're set up isn't too far from what my set up used to be when I was homeless in L.A. I needed to pack up my SUV everyday so when I showed up to work if my boss ever wanted a ride I could do it and hide it that I was living in there, so I did NO modifications whatsoever, everything was packed away in the back and living in L.A. I just took to going to the grocery store everyday for my meals. Having been homeless I don't think I could ever NOT have a SUV.

I bought a 5 inch foam mattress pad from Costco. Use blankets. For winter my intention is to get a electric space heater with electric blanket. Right now I have a electric fan. I use a power inverter and based on calculations I can run the heater for at least 6 hours.

Bed-. At 5’2” you can have a bed across the back seat. That’s what I do. So much more stealth that way.

The toilet would be weight barring if you use a 5gallon bucket and seat cover made to attach to them. I find that more comfortable. Will look for the bags you mentioned

@@teeleadslife6612 I ended up using a covered foam mattress from our trailer (that was stolen, but the mattress wasn't in it at the time) and I think it will work well. But, I may add some more thickness with a layer of couch cushions. I'll test it out one night soon and see!

Great set up.I use the big foam cushion that was added to my pull out couch as my bed.Its probably 4 -5 inches thick so it's very comfy.I too use a sleeping bag ,but my cushion I'd to big to fit in it ,but I love that idea.Great video

Very nice setup. Nice and organized. I hate messes in the car. What stove do you use with the butane? A Coleman? I have similar hanging lights! They are awesome. I kind of just use a cup to avoid nighttime trips to the bathroom. I have that same fan and clear bins. I did have to get a piece of plywood cut at Lowes because my CR-V isn’t even in the back. I put a large folding table under the plywood on the lower side and that does the trick. Your couch pillows are awesome too! I use a three in trifold mattress. Great video! Happy camping!
