Love finding other female car campers. I do full time in my Prius. The weathertech car shades are worth it! I stealth camp at work lol. One time a food truck pulled right behind my car and co workers were right outside my car. I was stuck for a long time 😂

@@carmelitavalera3176 Well, when I have to pee late at night I have a bowl I use. It beats driving to and wondering into a gas station at 3am. I can go into my work also. You get use to it. Each person's situation is unique depending on the area I think.

I was struggling with doing my car bc of showering that’s my biggest thing but then I forgot I had a planet membership and was like “ooooo yea” so props to you on that. But UGH i don’t know why this video made it seem so do able . I know it is just didn’t know what to bring and what not! Your video was extremely informative on a lot of questions I had! Nice set up! I camp out of my Subaru and have been doing that for years and have a few possibly helpful suggestions. I realized that although plastic containers for storage are really nice, they take up a lot of space and also waste a lot of space. I switched over to soft storage like backpacks duffel bags and clothing cubes , and Ended up having SO much more room- soft storage kind of conforms to the space you put it in. Of course you can’t store food items or Stuff like that, but in general they work great. You can even store your tech stuff in a good tech type backpack. In any case looks like you’re having a lot of fun and your dog is great too! Enjoy

i just started "car life" and had planned to buy plastic crates or drawers and found duffel bags as well! Same line of thinking that if there was nothing in them, they would still take up all that room and my bags collapse very small, one even has zippers to collapse it and zip it up! Plus the ones I got have all these sections and little stealth pockets for organizing lol
@serenityjewel
@serenityjewel Жыл бұрын
I live out of a Santa Fe. I have a 6 cube storage unit on the side of my bed and shelving in the back. Soft storage doesn't work for me. If feels cluttered and unorganized, like I got evicted and had a day to get out. If I was camping for a weekend, that wouldn't be a big deal but living in that environment for months is depressing, for me anyway.

This set up seems so real! I see so many van lifers with the absolute perfect set up and the filming of it just seems so staged and I question if KZbin pays them to make these van life videos lol 😂 and it’s not actually just them living in their van cause they wish to, it just doesn’t seem genuine like this 👏💖

Be sure not to eat too carb heavy in van life like crackers, noodles, cereal, oats, granola, potatoes, etc. you can get prepared or fresh fruits n veggies like salads already made too so you keep a balanced diet. They make protein packets, collagen packets and even hydration packets you can add to your water so you’re staying hydrated and nourished properly. Try some variety of can/pouches of tuna/salmon/chicken. They have loads of flavors these days.

I just bought a new Toyota RAV4 hybrid. I retired 2 years ago from software development. I am ready to do some traveling in my RAV4 ! or in 3 weeks, when I get possession ! I have done a few days of traveling, to visit kids in college, with my current Toyota Prius 2010. plenty of space !!! I am looking to travel around USA, Canada, and Mexico. Trying to limit myself... 🙂for now. ! I love the hybrids because I can keep the car on during hot/cold nights. the engine turns on and off during night as needed. Excellent ! I am looking to set-up a website to combine hobbies.... these are cycling, photography, drones, travel, history, archeology, and software. If I get really motivated, I may take some short-term contracts (3 months) for software development (remote online). Happy RAV4ing !

(Good for You) Hello fellow car camper - I saw your thumbnail and thought you were standing in front of my Micro RV which is a NIzzan Versa Note. It's like we went to the store together and purchased many of the same items - great minds must think alike, right? I can vouch for the Jackery 500 "I have 2" and other smaller Jackery Battery Banks. The next item you may want to invest in is a Quick-Set Clamshell Tent/Canopy for bug-proof protection from the elements that you can even sleep in or use as a kitchen/office. My Clamshell is 8ft x 12ft gazebo shaped and fits on the top of my Micro RV next to the rooftop cargo carrier. It only takes me 10-15 minutes to setup or take down. Great Video - keep'm coming!
