Yea it must have been a contender for the debut album, since she had been playing it live since 1984. I'm surprised it got passed over. Maybe they felt it was too dark for radio in 1985. AOR was in full swing within a year with tracks like Bruce Hornsby's "The Way It Is" on the radio.
