I'm very glad that I found this video. I tried to work flat stranded knitting once or twice a few years ago, and I just couldn't work out how to trap or twist the yarns at the edges. One was a sock heel so this is perfect. I think I might add stranded patterns to all my heels now!

Thank you for the clear and concise instructions on how to do stranded knitting on the pearl side. I am knitting a cardigan so have to work both sides of the knitting and being shown how to turn and catch the edge stitch and also how to knit using both hands on the pearl side really helps. Thank you :)

I chose your video to learn how to purl on the reverse side when doing fair isle knitting. I am so impressed that you are doing fair isle while also making a sock! I trying new knitting techniques and I just finished my first hat. Thought I'd make a scarf to go with it and discovered that I didn't know what to do on the reverse side of the work. Your video has been a big help. (I started knitting a pair of socks last winter and gave up after completing the first one--tiny yarn, tiny needles, not my thing).

Hello Suzanne, I've found just yet your video by surching for some fair isle knittings a.s.o. This video of yours is SO WONDERFUL CLEAR and so easy to look at, my gratulations for that😀😀😀💟 And after a while I recognized that your are working socks! This method you did is the same which is calles in Germany "Herzensferse" what means "Heart heel"! Wonderful!!! Where do come from? And what kind of wool do you work with? I wish you all the best, love and peace for you and all you love! Heartly GittaLloreley from Germany😇😇💞

You are so kind. The socks are my own design - "Starry Starry Night" - www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/starry-starry-night-socks. The yarns I used are listed on that page. But any nice sock yarn will work. I hope you have chosen to subscribe to my channel. If you look in my playlist "Stranded or Fair Isle Knitting", I have 15 more videos on stranded work - kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3-Xn4qAmZtkg9k. Now I am off to look up "Herzensferse".. Thank you! Happy knitting.
