This movie was so much more than I was expecting it to be. I saw the trailer and thought it would be funny. I was not expecting for it to really hit hard with the message that, sometimes, what we really need in life is someone who really sees us, acknowledges that it's okay to be a hot mess and it's okay to both need and ask for help. A+! And it was also filmed in the Hammer!

Loved it! It covers everything I am/have been going through in my life so far: broken family, depression, heartbreak, perimenopause, in no particular order. I think the story line is cleverly analyzing some raw aspects of our existence we either take for granted or deny. AND CHARLIE GILLESPIE does sing an amazing cover of "It must have been love" 🎹

So refreshing to not see them try to turn this into some gross MILF/teenage boy sex fantasy and just let the mom be a mom and the heartbroken boy be a boy. I guess that’s cause it’s a Canadian film and not an American one lol. I get so tired of seeing crap like that that is so shallow and cheap and doesn’t explore the real emotional trials that normal people experience in their lives all the time. I will be looking forward to seeing this one, although it will probably hit pretty close to home as my kids are both recently out of the house and starting their adult lives without me. We still talk all the time, but it’s just so different without them being there every day like they were their entire lives. Thankfully though, I haven’t had to take in any of their exes.

This actually looks pretty good. I haven't been to the movies in over a year, because I haven't really been interested in anything coming out, but this might get me to the theatre. Edit: 🙁 Doesn't look like it's coming to a Theatre near me. My Regal has no showtimes coming up for it at all, although google says it should be coming to theaters February 23rd 2024. Guessing it's only coming to select theatres. Sucks. Finally a Movie I would actually want to go see, and it won't be playing here.
