You forgot the hubcap gasket and the muffler bearing. 😁 I always loved small engines. motorcycle and riding mowers. What was the valve gap? .002 That always seems to be what I've always found. Torquing the rod bearings is a tight fit, but it is such a low setting I thought it would come undone on my John Deere 300 riding mower. Valves are almost impossible to set right. thanks. That was fun to watch. 🙂

Dude! Wanna come fix my lawnmower? I just think the connecting rod broke. (It's only about 30 years old...)
@JohnSmith-uy7sv Жыл бұрын
Did it punch a hole in the case and will it still turn around? When a rod breaks that is usually what happens. A hole in the side case. 🙂
@Backroad_Junkie Жыл бұрын
@@JohnSmith-uy7sv No! It started making a clanging sound and stopped, no holes in the block. That's why I think it's repairable. (I did buy an battery powered mower so I wouldn't have to deal with gas and 2-stroke oil anymore, but I kept it around and I'll probably take it apart this summer to see what failed and if it's repairable. Maybe I'll build a go-kart, lol...)
