Keep your bike in during the winter and modify and replenish it and use it in the summer days or non rainy days. Rain water mixed with the stuff on the roads flicking up on your bike eats away, rusts and weakens joints on the bike thus shortening the bikes life span. Also when coming to selling the bike you can tell a bike that has been used in rain vs a bike thats only been used in the dry. The difference is massive..

I also had a 600 bandit. 98y. It was a very good bike. I had some great handlebars on it which made the riding very easy. Medium width mx bars. Not ultra wide but probably around 740mm. But now I have a Honda Hornet 600. Hornet have more power and maybe the steering is also better due to lighter, lower weigh etc but I think bandit's engine was smoother and maybe even better for street riding.

Great video mate. I live in the US, was raised in a shop environment and raced moto-cross when moto-cross was worth being part of back in the 70's & 80's. Harbor Freight snap-on Mac tools and a host of others sell a four wheeled chair that I use when working on the side of the sickle and it easily rolls around the bike making life easier much much easier actually than bending over, placing a knee and so forth on the floor, you'll love one once you use one. I'm about six months behind you on the Bandit o'clock happening on my end of of the pond. Thanks for sharing this video 👍

I have a Bandit 600 S 2004 (with the fairing). So i wanna convert it to a naked bike. Maybe one day you will show us how to do so 😄.I'm quite handy,but to start this project without any expertise....i don't know. I love watching your video's,slowly but surely i'm learning. Great job.

Not a huge amount. But I just want to do a complete strip down, powder coat frame etc and rebuild it up from there. Want to take my time and enjoy the process. Motor will need a refresh; it's done 70 000 odd clicks. So, it's really useful watching you strip down your motor. Keep up the great work mate

Glad to see this series back, even if I'm late to the party! Any chance you could discuss Pod filters vs airbox and panel filters...from my initial research people seem to generally prefer sticking with OEM panel filters, and pods just seem to be for looks? Cheers, Glenn

Greeting! I have a 1999 Suzuki Bandit 1200 S. I have a problem with the neutral indicator. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I disassembled the indicator and cleaned it. It worked for a moment, however, I can see that oil is circulating in that part where the indicator is located. I assume that this is not normal and by the time the oil gets between the electrical contacts, it stops working. Can you help? Likewise, there is an oil leak on the engine cover, where the screw is located. I can't get a picture, but I read that this is a common problem for them. Thank you in advance and best regards from Croatia.

I'm curious why you did not use the great bike lift / jack that you had in the last series? I am also a rather large guy who has a bandit 1200s and I wish I had that jack to make things easier to work on. Other than that, thanks for the education and heads up of what to expect...

Hi Eric, in hindsight I should have used the Abba Skylift to make my life easier but it part 2 i use it to help me strip the bike down even more. Glad you are enjoying the videos, let me know how you get on with your own bike

Get yourself an Abba Skylift Eric. It will change your life! I use mine on my Speed Triple - it makes moving it around the garage simple and working on the bike much less backbreaking!

@@Classicmotorbikes Everything is almost done. Just got to do the front fork seals and the carbs. looking for a good quality rebuild kit for the carbs or a replacement set. Carbs are witchcraft! The bike sat for 10 years before I got it. Loving all the videos you do so keep up the good work.

Hey Ian, I was messing around with my headlight and removed the adjustment spring, and a washer fell out as well. Any idea of where that washer goes? Is it between the spring and headlight case or over by the plastic square? Thanks for these videos!

Hi mate I am having a bit of an issue I have tripped out my clocks my horn and my backlight on indicators just wondering if you would know what it would be as I took it for an MOT today and it's got a back light with indicators already built in and they said it would not pass with that so they said to put another set of indicators on so I tried to do that and touched one of the wires and tripped out and this is what happened just wondering if you would know what I've tripped out

Hi Anthony, it sounds like you could have blow a fuse, have a look under the seat and you should be able find the fuse box. hope you get the problem sorted.

i'm thinking about 38mm flatslides. head from a 750 flowed. 92mm pistons cams. then i realized i may as well bye a gsxr1000 if i what speed. so mine runs spot on 14 / 42 to get her lively. i can pull out of the corners and make most race reps look silly.

Wow 92mm Pistons! do you mean 82mm that will take it to a 1246cc? I'm not a fan of the big carbs and GSX-R cams as it makes the power more towards the top end and loses that Bandit mid range that I love, I've gone for 14/46 on the sprockets like you say makes sports bikes look silly

I have an 02 1200s with White smoke from the exhaust. Its been sitting for Years because it was stalling out on me. HAd the carbs cleaned, worked a minute, Now Smoking from exhaust. HAd a little oil spew but that stopped. HELP!!
