Mate I was just about to launch by gear box at the wall this saved my life

To fit the input shaft bearing put the input shaft in a bag and bung it in the freezer. Gently warm the bearing in a bath of oil slowly on the stove in an old pan keeping a close eye that it dosnt get too hot and start smoking!! Remove the shaft from the freezer and the warm bearing will just drop over the shaft with no stress to the bearing.

Thanks Random Rides, I'd hate to know what it would cost to do this job if you went to a main dealer, if you could get any work done to your bandit what would it be?

Classic motorbikes I'd like someone trustworthy to listen to, ride it and assess what it needs to be healthy tbh. To me it sounds cammy, at low speeds I hear noises..gearbox I think and recently I feel it's not handling right. Makes you lose confidence especially in corners. The work and attention to detail you've put in is amazing, I doubt you could get that even at a main dealers and as for cost I'm sure that it's run well into the thousands now. Hopefully though you and that bike have built a bond which is priceless, you've got a bike you can trust and as we've said before hopefully keep forever! I'm only sorry I don't have the knowledge to do the same..or a 2nd bike. (To ride while ones repaired) I love watching these video's as I learn so much. Once again a big thank you.

Hi Bro! I don't know how i missed this channel but not to worry as i have discovered you now & i am enjoying your videos especially the Turbo Bike but with regards to the Bandit with the G/Box problems at such low mileage it worries me somewhat as i have the Brother to that Bike in the shape of a GSX 1400. As you know many parts cross over to a Bandit but i hope mine doesn't inherit the same G/Box problems as i don't fancy having to pull my engine apart to rebuild it also the costs are astronomical. It must be a faulty batch of gears don't you think for them to wear like that? Maybe if they was swimming in hypoid oil things would be different but OBVIOUSLY that is not an option. I'm impressed with your Tig Welding BTW. You have taken to it like a Duck to Water. You can only get better. Give yourself a Pat on the Back Bro!

This has been really useful for me; well done to you! My Bandit whines (a bit) in second gear; does that mean I'll probably be looking to replace two cogs as you did? In the other gears it's fairly quiet.
