Suzuki Bandit 1250S, ready for champion

The Suzuki Bandit is a series of standard motorcycles produced by Suzuki since 1989.
Original Bandit 1250 arrived in two forms, the half-faired GSF1250SA and the naked GSF1250A. Spec-wise they are identical with only the A’s single round headlight and lack of half-fairing the difference, although ABS was only available on the SA model. This generation was never updated, however there were a few variations made by Suzuki UK that basically took the stock bike and added optional extras to create more touring inspired models such as the GT with its full luggage set. This generation of Bandit was discontinued in 2012, however it reemerged in 2015 as the GSF1250S with emissions-conforming engine mods, a sportier-looking half-fairing and a new set of clocks with an analogue rev counter and digital speedo. In 2010 Suzuki effectively took a GSF1250SA and gave it a bit more of an aggressive style to create the GSX1250FA. The GSX gained a full fairing with a sporty GSX-R1000 headlight, new clocks, ABS and a few very small updates.

Hi Abdul, So, I have a 07 1250SA w/45k mi, oddly my can is on the right side of the bike (USA?) some of your video shows can on the left... nice overall, but found the seat and windscreen abysmal.. went with a Sergent seat and a ZG sport touring and added a Amazon/China clamp on deflector (kinda like the MRA Vario which I had on a Vstrom and was excellent+Madstad).. now near perfect.. may add some grip puppies..maybe different bars..not sure yet.. had to go through the fuel screen/pump issues but now seems sorted.. overall decent improvement from the the older 96-2006 air/oil cooled 1200's of which I've had three, one of which I had piped and jetted and was crazy fast with a GPS max of 163 mph.. but that was years ago, the 1250 is much smoother, brute torque grunt and the 6 speed+h20 cooling and FI is great...for some reason I keep coming back to the big Bandits.. IDK, just seems like they do everything I need.. as a now 57yo rider, it may be even too capable..crazy easy to be in " loose you're license speed situations".. perhaps a RE Interceptor 650 will be in my future.. who knows.. love the ultimate capability of Bandito 1250s (4.0 for me) but it always wants to go faster than I do.. also, she's a big girl in the corners.. my XR650L- on D606's is waaay more willing/easier in and out corners than this big thing.... maybe it's just me.. but she always feels heavy and hard to turn in..currently on Pilot Road 4's that are ageing, perhaps something newer will help (suggestions?)..replaced fork seals, 10w fork oil, It's now getting too hot to ride here in Arizona (112f+++).. will get some more miles in this fall, October on...Cheers!
