@@2001himax hi I have a 2006 Suzuki boulevard on July 4th weekend the fuel line popped off and since then the bike has no power when hit the throttle the bike sounds like it's drowning and then shuts off. I rebuilt the fuel pump cleaned fuel injectors, change plugs, TPS is working, compression is good in both cylinders..... Here's what still happening new front spark plug is white probably means it's probably running lean with all that fixed while riding and giving it throttle it seems to be missing on one cylinder...... I don't know if there's a way to pull up codes on this bike to see exactly what's wrong maybe you have a few ideas to help me PLEASE!! Always enjoy watching your videos they're very informative even when it's a different bike not the Suzuki boulevard.

@@jasonsanderson9385 Hi Jason, You put new plugs in and the new plug in the front plug is white ? It sounds like the front plug is fouled. He is what I would try. Put two new plugs in, fill your gas tank. Make sure plugs are gapped. Start the bike and have it idle. If it is idling good let it idle for ten minutes. Then put a little throttle on and see if it runs better. When the fuel line came off you used all the fuel out of the system. There may be some air in there. If this doesn't work go to You-Tube and put in 2006 Suzuki Boulevard How To Bring Up Codes. If a different year comes up watch it and see how it's done. Then look at your bike to see if it has a plug to bring up the code. This a start to find the problem. Norman.

What year is your Boulevard? Mines an 05, doesn't look like yours. Mine has an issue, it shuts off at about 70 mph. I have to pull over, put it in neutral and then the fuel pump kicks back on and it fires up. Any idea what that cause might be? Someone told me the brain box needs replaced or recalibrated. Any help please?
@2001himax3 жыл бұрын
Mine is a 2012. It sounds like you are having a lack of fuel when going 70. That is when you are using more fuel. It may be the fuel pump. The fuel pump may not be able to keep up with the need for more fuel. It's harder to work on the newer bikes because the fuel is a sealed system and under pressure. That is why you never smell gas like with the older carbs. Even on cars this is the way it is today. I wish my bike had carbs. Carbs can be taken off and cleaned or rebuilt . With fuel injection and all the sensors it's a nightmare. You may have to have a dealer look at it. Yes I said that bad word "DEALER". Get out the checkbook. Norman.

Hey brother I have a question if maybe you have time you could assist in the solution to this issue . I have a 2007 boulevard c50. I am having a issue when my bike is coming to a stop or at stop engine is stalling out . I got into the gas tank and found the return hose was not connected . I fixed that adjusted the idle then saw your vid and adjusted the throttle cables . It helped but went back to stalling ..And my fi light has been on since I got this bike . Any ideas you may have would be appreciated sir . Love how informative this mans videos are ..GREAT JOB 👍

Hi Douglas, The Boulevards are known for this problem. Mine has the same issue. Runs great but idles up or down. I am still working on mine. From what I understand it's the I.S.C. The Idle Speed Control. It's a part on the carb body. The I.S.P. could be faulty and needs replaced and if it is replaced you need a special tool to have it set to your carb body. You may have to have a dealer do it. Not cheep. I have contacted Suzuki about how many are having trouble with this problem but not herd back yet. I bought a Honda and have been working to get it on the road. I will get back to the Boulevard sometime. Sorry I don't have an answer for you at this time. Norman.

@@ketibbitts kzbin.info/www/bejne/qHusqGqPhqutgtk Marilyn, Please watch this video. The switch will only show the code. Then look up the code in the Clymer book for the problem. About the switch= Plug in your switch , Make sure the switch is in the off position, Turn on the bike. No need to start the bike. Turn on the switch and the code will come up. If you want to remove the code turn the switch on then turn on the bike. This will remove the code. I suggest 1= bring up the code and take note of it. 2= erase the code then try the bike. Just maybe the bike will run O.K. But most times the code comes back up. Worth a try. Hope this info helps you. Norman.

@@2001himax Hey Norm thanks for your response. I'm been riding for years but I just got a 06 C50. The problem is it surges at idle unless I'm giving at least a little bit of constant throttle. I got the dialer switch and my throttle positioning sensor was off so I straightened that out. After that, I removed the battery cables to reset the computer. I also removed and cleaned both fuel injectors in case they were dirty. The air filter looks clean, I can hear the fuel pump priming when I start the bike. I'm not sure how to check if the pump is going bad or not creating enough pressure? I put the bike back together and it’s still surging. Do you know if there's a way to adjust the gas to air ratio or if that would even be the problem? I don't know what to do next, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
@2001himax3 жыл бұрын
@@ketibbitts The C50 are known to have this trouble. Mine has this right now. I believe this has to do with the ICS "Idle Control Sensor". You need to talk to a dealer about resetting the ICS. They have a tool to do this. A tool that cost about $360. It's looks like a scanner that you use on a car but is made for a bike. One thing to try first is have your bike off, Plug in the dealer switch. Have the switch in the ON position then turn the key on. You don't have to start the bike. This will clear all codes. Now try the bike. If you want to read the codes have the switch off then turn the key on. I bought the tool a while back but haven't tried it yet. It came with very little instructions. I thought it would have a book. Then it comes with a lot of cables for different make bikes but the Suzuki cable did not fit my 2012 C50. So more money for the cable to fit my bike. A lot of the C50s Are having this trouble. As I said I would talk to a dealer and get their thoughts on this issue. Hope this helps. Norman.

@@caseymclamb5890 Hi Casey, You are talking about the Philip screw? To re move it try this. Take the best fitting screw driver that you have that fits it. Place it on the screw , push down as you try to tighten it, yes tighten it very slightly then counterclockwise to loosen it. Do this back and forth many times to see if it loosens up. If it does not turn place the screwdriver on the screw an tap it with a hammer, not too hard just a light tap. Now try the back and forth method again. There are many things on these bikes that are so tight when they are put in at the factory. They use air wrenches to speed the process and they are set too high. I broke a wrench taking off the valve cover, it was on so tight. If this does not work let me know. Norman
