Rode my 17 DR 650 on a 2000 mile trip all through the northwest USA. This road and mountains reminds me of Highway 93 South on the eastern side of Idaho. No yuppies in Audis trying to mess with ya, just Freedom and fresh air. No gestapo and a-holes ruining the experience. Enjoy it while you can . The future looks interesting.

Hey, just ended up watching this video again has it showed up on my playlist, great stuff made my morning. One of my favorite things is racing across the desert on a dirt bike and this really captures the feeling. Speaking of that there's a motorcycle rally coming up middle of June out in the desert you might be interested in. We conversed a year ago and I might have sent you a link to a video I made of one of the events, can't remember. Sort of a mini burning Man meets motorcycles. @@damienalhamoud9914 I don't think so, but I'm not completely sure. The muffler was designed for the dr650, 1996 - present. Before 1996, I'm not sure what is different. Check your header diameter on the Djebel to see if it's the same as the dr650, and see where you can mount it. The mount that holds the muffler can move, so you can find the right spot. So maybe there is a chance you can make it work. You should check this website and ask them directly - procycle.us/model/suzuki/dr650/exhaust

Well I watched this video again. Make that many times... love the content and the sound track, perfect song for this. But I have also been carefully looking at the individual shots and editing to figure how you got those shots as I am planning on doing a something like this, but in a less professional way, I'm sure... Did you use the gopro trunk mount on any of the off road shots , or were they hand held steady cam? The lack of dust kicked up on the dirt roads by the chase vehicle also had me thinking??? I tried my gopro last night strapped to the top of my tote box on my dr650 and it was way to bumpy. Going to try again today with a friend on his bike and also take along the mavic mini drone to test out some footgage. Thanks Again, Frank

Hey Frank that makes me happy to hear. Really stoked you enjoyed the short film. We put a solid bit of work into it with a pre production trip to the desert to figure out where, what and how to get our shots. Planning out the day was key so that we could hit the right spots and still have enough time to head spot to spot.. Every time you setup and pack up and hit the road, thats time you're burning. So planning it out ahead of time made it possible. We shot on a Canon C200 and C100 with a variety of lenses. We had tripod setups, shoulder rig shooting out of chase car, and a heavy duty car mount from Matthews. Getting the dust from the chase car out of frame - we found a very wide dirt road so that I wasn't right in the dust. There is one shot where I'm directly behind the chase care and we where on a 70mm lens at that point. So it's much more zoomed in than a gopro. That's also key because you are looking past a-lot of the dust and even when the dust is in frame it's more out of focus, so it's less visibly defined in frame. A gopro is tough to mount on the bike right? Yeah I've had problems with the vibrations. Even mounting on the handle bars is right on the edge of being too shakey. But the closer you are to the frame, or directly onto frame is best. Bummer it the tote box is too shakey. Try the handle bars yet? Good luck with the Drone! Post it! Enjoy.. - Arian
