My son had a 87 warrior and when he got it it had one of those weird problems . It took me 1 week and quite a few fuses. I learned to use those reset able fuses that can save money and a little time if the fuse keeps blowing.

I see someone did a hill billy stitching on the fender using zip ties, we have used that method on atvs and even on those plastic lawn chairs,,it works pretty good,just takes a little time to drill all the holes..

Hi, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. They really serve to guide novice problem solvers!!! Recently I've experienced a problem with my '96 Murray - 42813x92b. Upon turning the key, just to the light position, it blows the 15 amp fuse. I cannot start the engine. I'm ready to pull all the wiring out. Are you supposed to have continuity for the seat switch when the button is depressed? I get nothing pressed and unpressed. I was wondering if you made a video on checking harness wiring and blown fuses.

I have a 98 king quad suzuki that I still have yet to replace the front axle boot on from a stick ripping it up, but the other problem is that the neutral light doesn't want to come on when I turn the key, even though the trans is in neutral. I have to bypass it by using the pull cord instead. Might be easy to figure out, probably a bad sensor or switch somewhere.

Dony, hate to say it but it wasn't the brake switch. I just unpluged the switch to see if it would work but still blows the fuse. My next test is the electric fan. As soon as I hit the starter button it blows the 10a ignition fuse everytime. Although I have had success a few times of replacing the fuse and bypassing the starter solenoid to start it, but then it will run for 10 minutes or so then it starts acting up again and blowing fuses. This is why I am guessing th efan may be shorting.

I am having similar problems on my eiger 400 where it won't even start and blows the ignition fuse, I eventually got it to run for a while but shut off after 10 minutes with another blown ignition fuse, I am going to check the brake switch as you did I hope this is it as I am running out of ideas!

Great tutorial :-) There are some rubbish switches out there, im supprised it blew the main ignition fuse, not the most intellegent design of power distribution. Manufacturers want a good slap sometimes lol :-)

I have an 09 King Quad 750axi and its frying rectifiers like crazy. I've done the mod of additional positive and ground wires to battery but still frying them. Could a loose ground be the cause? Stator is brand new.

So I assume the reason the winch didn't work is that it's control relay was wired to the same igniton fuse? Winch power is usually direct to the battery but via a relay for the switch control. Not sure if winch was aftermarket, but would have made sense to wire the relay with a sepaerate fuse or off another circuit to avoid killing you ignitin should the relay fail. Could really ruin your day of fun out in the woods. Just my two cents.........

I have a 93 yamaha kodiak 400 with the same problem i cant find the fuse box on it. Also when i hook the hot wire and ground wire to the battery it tries to start with out the key switch on any idea on what might be going on?

Never seen a licence plate on an atv before? Can atv's be driven on the road in canada?

If the ATV is licenced and insured in ONTARIO then it can be driven on the roads by a licenced driver (except the Kings highways.. thats the TransCanada and 400 series of highways))...and your wearing a helmet and stay to the right and go slow and your not a knob! :) I ride an Suzuki King Quad into Kenora NW Ontario almost daily...the OPP have never had an issue with it cause I follow da rulz!

Great Video..I have a problem with my 03 eigar 400 I have ignition and it cranks over good but there is no spark..I checked the coil and it is good..all fuses are good.. I am not sure were to go from here..I use the quad for getting wood out of the bush and I do not abuse it.I brought a load out of the bush and it was running perfect, I turned the quad off to unload the wood and when I went to start it,it would not start... can you help me..Thanks..Tom

+Tom Nixon did you get your quad running ? have you had the flywheel checked known to come unglued an bike will not start or runs funny,did you check to make sure your getting gas to carb shut off valves are known to go bad also

Have the same model eiger that will start using the crank but the electric start wont work. i pulled the seat off and can hear/feel a click at the relay. Would like a way to test before i spend 75 bucks on a new starter relay assembly. Suggestion?

+Bob Balentine i know its to late but for anybody else reading try charging the battery then give it another try make sure a battery terminals are clean an that the ground wire is clean also an bolt that goes threw it is tight

muskoka brappers if you test everything and it's good it's probably the flywheel magnets. stator will test good but the magnets will come loose. same thing on Arctic cat 400 motors.

I have a suzuki 400 eiger it is very hard to start and when it does it will backfire through the carb I have cleaned and rebuilt the carb replaced the plug as well can someone please comment to what they think the problem may be I would be greatful for your ideals on what it may be

+Howie Vandyke maybe out of time by one tooth or maybe valves need adjusting lean air/fuel mixture.you either have vacuum leak, low compression or a restricted fuel supply resulting in a low float level.check the compression and check the fuel delivery.the eiger are knowed for the fuel shut off valves going bad

+Howie Vandyke I had the same problem...turns out there is a crank breather that connects the carb and oil sump. The sump gets rich with excess fuel and makes the bike run rich from the fumes in the sump. All that is required is an oil change. If you check your dipstick it may smell like petrol.
