Set your carb. There are two knobs both if I recall correctly on the left side of the scooter if you're sitting on it. The back screw as it goes in will accelerate the bike so pull that out a little bit and the back idle screw is for your air setting depending on year. Push that into slow it down simple carburetor adjustment will fix this. What I've learned in my lifetime is the colder it is the more fuel it needs the warmer it is the less fuel it needs. That's the only pain in the butt part about two strokes depending on temperature they need constant adjustments. You want your bike to idle as slow as possible without dying. It takes practice but you'll get it down.

I cannot get mine to idle it runs so long as im pulling the throttle and tips? Oh! And the lever on the left handle bar with S and R on it what does that do and what position should I have it in?

james siebor I got this bike running as is and I can't seem to figure out the carburetor mabey you can check online and do some research on the bike
