Does anyone know where the vacuum hose from the petcock goes to the carbs? I’m starting to think it connects to what I thought was one of the float bowl overflow lines?

Hi, There are 3 lines going into the carbs right? The two visible on here and one from the top. Where are those going to/coming from? Is the black one the fuel line? What are the transparant ones?

I have the same one, what are the transparent ones, they will go to the fuel tank vacuum one?

What do the transparent hoses go to?

Those are "exhaust" lines that just hang down behind the engine. I never saw anything come out of them... like ever, so I removed them. Not difference =)

What was the float height. I have mine at .22mm but the hit the carb before the needle valve gets shut down.

Mine did the exact same thing! I had to manually adjust them by feel =\ High enough to close, and not too low so that the floats would get stuck open. Start with the .22mm, then adjust so they close but don't get stuck. Trial and error really. In the end, I tested them at multiple different angles before re-installing them. Hold them right-side up and test the floats with your hand. You'll get the feel of where it needs to be. When you get one set right and tested on the bike, DON'T TOUCH IT! I got the left carb functioning well, but it took a few more on-and-off-again's before i got the right one correct. Don't give up and get frustrated! I just about gave up like 5 times, but stuck with it and finally found that sweet spot. Bench syncing got them close, but I used a homemade tool to dial them in. (two bottles with colored water and hoses that go to the sync ports. Here's a good example of one in action: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXXCl2NrlMZqars )
