My description disappeared when I first uploaded this! Sorry about that!
Getting there, progress is being made :) In this video I re-assemble the carbs and re fit them to the bike....I then discover another problem!!
Also, this isn't a tutorial, use it for tips if you like but I'm not a mechanic and anything you do that ends up exploding your bike is at your own risk.
If you liked the video please hit that like button and consider subscribing! :) If you disliked it and hit the dislike button please let me know why in the comments!
Thanks for watching :)

There is a yellow plug in part in the front of the bike. Yellow and green wires on one side on other side it should be yellow and black. Cut all 4 at the plug ins and wire em straight to its opposite sides

Finally got my '96 GSXR 750 in the factory colors. Been waiting a lifetime seemingly to get this. The bike is like is running rich. Previous owner tinkered and I believe he replaced them with a set from Japan. Your video helps much but still since I have never done this its going to be a challenge....Can't wait

Hi,man! one of the newbie of our ru-SRAD public referred me your video about carbs, with doubts about your way of assembly down-side valves... 10th minute. so, it's funny, i made the same error in assembly as you just did too, years ago, when i firstly took a look there) - "they" (valves) can't work that way, with metal plate at the bottom as you put it. you must put the spring at the bottom(yellow cap),then put a plate "as a hat". other way the valve doesn't open. so,your carbs presently doesn't react at the brain signal (through a solenoid), valves don't operating at all. the result is : lack of power around 20% , in low-middle range( 3-7k), probably your favorite mode) info : 1fockin hundred percent.
@TheGorillaBiker
@TheGorillaBiker 3 жыл бұрын
Ah, well thanks for letting me know!! I must swap it around and see how much of a difference it makes :) Weirdly the aftermarket manual has it wrong but the service manual I just found has it right(your way). I was actually naturally riding the bike more above 7k tbh it was too slow under that, so maybe partly due to this. I'll swap it all around anyway :) Looking at the spacing and spring it should still actuate at least partially, the metal plate is probably to protect the diaphragm if the spring was to slip over the plastic cap.....Ooops!! :D Thanks again anyway :)
@ruslangsxr1911
@ruslangsxr1911 3 жыл бұрын
@@TheGorillaBiker a metal plate has a humble purpose) to concentare the spring pressure in the center of diaphragm.and yes to(to protect the diaphragm if the spring was to slip over the plastic cap) without wobbling etc. it's a simple air-valve. doesnt matter how widely it's open. theres high frq ping from CPU. only in some low-middle range. the basic stage - totally closed. when valve start to open- plastic throttles begin to fall.theres a cycle. they never fall cuz there is ping-signal. on\off. when you pulling widely and wildly)- those small valves constantly ever closed. the metal springs(which pushing back-down the plastic throttles) are still unperfect(linear obv). so they made this "garden" in order to correct height of rise the butterflies

I'm a bit surprised you didn't take the opportunity to clean the top of the engine block before fitting the carbs back on. That looked super grimy! I like the orange (vacuum?) pipes! I've never gotten under the tank of my bikes, still working up the courage...

2024, fixing 2000 GSXR 600, any information if rebuilding carbs would help with idling issues. Blip the throttle, and it revs and stays at 3-4krpms. ONLY happens when the choke is off. Turn choke on, and the problem is much less or doesn't happen. Besides that, their are missing fittings, air/vacuumlines, wiring harness looks like it was messed with. spark plug connector to the coil for 3 was on 4 and 4 on 3. Any info or tips or how to fix? the series has been helpful so far on giving me an idea on what can be repaired. THANKYOU!!

I hope the carbs are just good to go. Great video, lots of detail. I hope the starter motor is just a relay, sounds like it is since it's not making any sounds at all, maybe a fuse? Also maybe this will buy me some time and I can get my motor running first?!?!? Ah...prolly not. I may have to come back to this video for reference if I have to take my carbs apart again.
