There’s something about this new gixxer that makes it more desirable than the last few years (esp with the arrow exhaust too). And holy cow, a 2kg+ weight saving is A. Lot. But the sound... that’s worth 80% of the cost right there :D
@motozest78566 жыл бұрын
A friend of mine is doing a weight saving project on his 2018 GSX-R1000R. Rotobox Boost wheels, Antigravity li-ion battery, Arrow slip-on (not a full system because that wouldn't be street legal here in Portugal), 520 chain with Supersprox Stealth Sprocket, tail tidy, passenger footpegs removed (and very light exhaust hanger fitted) and titanium bolts. He has lost 10.7kg / 23.6lbs total. Crazy.
@willie8385 жыл бұрын
If he's fat, then there's no better bang for your buck than a gym membership. A lot of riders could lose 20 lbs themselves. Haha Kind of joking but it's also true.

Ditto. I ride a dual porpoise parallel twin, had 023's, T30's and now T31 Evo. They just work. Super hot NZ roads in summer, slick as an eel wet back roads in winter, gravel roads... Pretty shit in sand.. Tough carcass, too. Putting on the T31's will have negated the Arrow weight saving a bit. I'm pretty stoked to see them on the Gixxer, a lot of riders bang on about other brands but can never quantify why they are better. I ride a very familiar piece of road every time I put new tyres on my bike to prevent my opinion coming out me arse. Must admit I had to soften the rebound slightly with the T30's / 31, they are quite stiff. Not a bad thing.
