Hi Jerry, I have the front wheel sensor torque settings for the small bolt that holds the ABS sensors for the front wheel and the rear wheel that you could not get anywhere!, they are 23 n/m or 17.0lbf-ft, the rear wheel sensor is 23n/m or 17.0lbf-ft. I have got these off a disc which was purchased from the States, the company goes under the name of Techspark and operates out of Hebron. It is a complete workshop manual for the GSXR 1000 L7 model, this disc is laid out like the genuine Suzuki workshop manuals we used to be able to get hold of in the past, its full of information and a invaluable source of knowledge, cheers Jerry, and keep up the good work.

@Neil - Thank you very much sir, much appreciated. So these torque specs are the same as the front fork pincher bolts, very cool. Easy to remember!

For you hex bit, use a bolt that has the same head size, weld a nut to it. Cheap tool. Lot cheaper than 130$ hex bit.

I have a question, i got a 2014 gsxr 1000, and i couldn't help to notice that my bike or i should say suzuki did not make or a wheel spacer is required on the right side of the wheel, looking at from the front end.
@jryer1

That's correct for the 2005-2016 models, only one spacer (collar) on the front wheel - SPACER 54751-41G00 www.oneidasuzuki.com/store/parts-accessories/rim-front-and-rear-parts-axle-gsxr1000-2005-06.html

I got a question that maybe somebody on your channel can help with I hope. So yesterday I needed to get a new front tire put on so I removed the calipers dropped the wheel out just like in your video got my new tire put on put the wheel back on put the calipers back on and had absolutely no brake pressure on the front handle. I took the calipers off and hung them from a bungee cord on each side of the handlebars left in rock didn't twist the lines or anything didn't even have to push the pistons back in and now I have no pressure. Any advice would be very much appreciated Thank you

What year and model is the bike, GSX-R1000 or GSX-R1000R? Does it have ABS brakes is what I after here?
@jryer1
@jryer1 Жыл бұрын
Most likely, the ABS brake pump sucked back the brake fluid. So bleed the front brakes. Watch this video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKqxdp5moZxprLs

@@jryer1 Hi Jerry, A Suspension Video would be Great. I believe that mine isn't out far, but from what I have learned about static Sag and the rest from watching videos, it is out. I worry if I'd make things worse. Take care.
@jryer1

@@liveatvictoria6853 - I'll be doing a video on static sag (race sag) setup. I'll go into why rear shock setup is a must, and how to determine if the rear shock is rebounding correctly. We'll look at the front forks as well, may even get into determining how to know if the internal springs (probably stock) are enough for you or do they need to be changed?

Hey Gerry what is the procedure for putting the wheel back on as far as the pinch bolts and axle nut go. I know it’s critical the order to tighten them when going back together just not sure what it is
@jryer1
@jryer1 5 жыл бұрын
@disarmyou84 - Tighten the big front axle nut first to spec, then tighten the pincher bolts last.

Hi Jerry, How are you??? Well I hope. I am glad I watched this video, I didn't realize that Large Hex Bit was needed, also the rear being 36, I just presumed it would be the same, which goes to show why Suzuki Canada has a special Bit for sale for the Front Axel. I also use the Pit Bull Stands, only difference is I bought the Pit Bull Hybrid Dual Lift Motorcycle Front Stand with the long detachable arms/handles. I believe WoodCraft are the only other stands anywhere near Pit Bull, still they aren't as good. I joined a GSX-R1000R Group on Facebook, mostly English fellows, which is fine of course, only they seem to slack on the parts they are willing to use, Cheap Stands, Half Rate parts on such a Great bike makes NO Sense to me. Funny why it's difficult for you to get that particular Hex Bit. Probably there are things that will or are difficult to find here as not being used a bunch so they won't stock them. There's a Princess Auto not far from me, it is a typical Males Dream Store, different T-Handles, different Hex Bits, wrenches, all kinds of tools and variations of them, can spend Hours in there, they have lower priced all the way up to Snap-On, and other expensive brands, can spend an hour in there and seems like minutes. Thank you for the video, How about showing how to wire the rear brake light turn signals??? I can probably do it, but I get nervous with wiring. Take good care Jerry, I always enjoy your videos. Thank you.

@live - Will try to get around to the rear integrated light soon. Don't get me into a mechanics or machinist goodies store, I'll literally walk around drooling. I'm serious, a hot babe could go strolling by completely unnoticed as I'm drooling over the latest mill bit - hahahaha!

@@jryer1 Believe me my friend, I completely understand that, and it is pretty much the way I am as well, I might not even have the complete understanding of how to use some of them, but I know it could be used to work on my bike so need to get that or put it on the list to get Funny how guys are like that, most of the fellows I know are anyway. Like I say, I'm just not sure of myself with wiring. Sag, if I am shown, I'll get it as I have been watching many videos and reading whatever I can to get it understood. The factory set up isn't bad, but the seat or rear spring is somewhat or too much rebound I think anyway, I weigh between 180 and 188---Read the bike was set for someone 190, don't think that is so. Best to you, Nice to hear from you.

Just ruined a front mudguard with one of those, not that cheap front stands. It spread under the weight and clobbered the guard. Bad day.

I research tires often, my next will probably be Dunlop Q3 or Q3+. I got the Bridgestone S21 rear on ebay, I noticed Chaparral has a rear on ebay right now for $134.97 USD - www.ebay.com/itm/190-55ZR-17-Bridgestone-Battlax-S21-Hypersport-Rear-Tire/332711845873 --- The front I got from 2wheel.com, at that time it was $92 free shipping, not sure they still have that deal, but might be worth a look
