But after picking her up , Next will be a better dampener (no tank slap for me, just in case, cause i get crazy sometimes lol) . Mine's a 2015 model - I'm not doubting that some people are having throttle issues but, speaking of my own machine, and the one I test rode, the throttle is instantaneous (not snatchy) it's exactly what you would expect from a sport focused machine; I have no surging issues and can easily hold it at a constant low speed in pretty much any gear. It's easy to ride, handles as though it's on rails and makes me smile every time I ride it. If you would love one? Get one when you can, you won't regret it.

@justinsmith1001

@@Carlos-qk2vi The throttle is very instantaneous and I agree not snatchy. Maybe a smidge too aggressive than my preferences, but it is perfectly predictable. Better than being imprecise or with too much play like my old Honda CBR650F. The bike handles amazingly and has the torque to "drop a gear and disappear, or maybe not drop a gear and still disappear". Very good power at low-mid RPMs. Excellent power in the power-band. Brakes and suspension very good and quite a value at this price point. Not sure why the MT-09 is so successful vs the GSX-S line when the Suzukis are better in pretty much every area but hooligan wheelie potential.

You mentioned that you can flat foot when sitting on the bike, but how tall are you and what's your inseam? I'm 5'6" and I'm wondering if I'd fit on one of these or a VFR800.
@RevMonkey
@RevMonkey 4 жыл бұрын
I am 5'10" with a 30" inside leg. You';d be okay with this or the VFR with 28" inside leg or more. Less then that you may wish to see if they do a lower seat option - which I often look at on bikes as I love the security of having both feet down. Ade

@RevMonkey
@RevMonkey 5 жыл бұрын
I would say it would be fine. Only you know if you will drive it too fast at the wrong times. All of these liter bikes are actually relatively docile (say compared to a super naked) until about 7000 revs. It's a smooth bike so the throttle won't get you into trouble. So, yeah, fine. The Kawasaki Z1000SX would be my pick in this category but this Suzuki is slightly easier to ride perhaps.

Just one question, why do the English calll the ground 'the floor'?
@RevMonkey
@RevMonkey 4 жыл бұрын
Well, actually floors, such as in a building can be at any level. Essentially though, it means the substance beneath your feet so is akin to the word ground when it the lowest level. Do you not use the word floor in the US? Does an elevator not go to the 12th floor, for example, or is is just 'storey' or are you saying that floors are only ever above ground level and floor I not used the for the ground level?

Yeah, interesting about the Japanese bikes. I always thought in terms of size and dealers it went Honda, Yamaha, Kawa , Suzi. This is likely also true for build quality. However, in terms of fun and excitement the order might be Yamaha, Kawa, Suzi, Honda. Hell.. I dunno.
