this bike is probably the best motorcycle ever. not specific in any particular way but great all rounder. comfortable, fast as fxxx, reliable, some great features - single touch start, anti stall, weather protection, looks great, light, easy to ride. ABS, traction control, it does it all, so very, very well and all for £10.000. 😉

For the price it is a fantastic motorcycle, I really did enjoying riding it for a couple weeks, however I definitely wouldn’t want to tour on it, and a “sports tourer” with no hard luggage options from stock is a tad strange, but none of that takes away from the fact that it is a really fun and exciting motorcycle to ride 🤘

I have this bike in blue (2016 model). I have been using this for commuting and (sports-)touring for nine months and 10k kilometers. It has been a reliable and comfortable machine. The heat is something I haven't noticed at all, even on hotter days. The fan is quite loud I must admit, but they only come on at slow speed riding. The weight and handling is excellent. It feels so easy to manouvre at slower or higher speeds and turns in at a dime. Honestly if it wasn't for the power it would be a great bike for starting riders. Now that I starting talking about power, wow... It feels perfect. Lower rpm is easily manageable for touring. Higher rpm is more than enough to be frightning, just what you want. For commuting I added a top case rack so I can use hard lugagge. I have ridden it for six hours straight and stepped of tired, but not broken. The seat was excellent and the handelbars weren't carrying my weight. Overall I'm really happy with it and enjoy taking it to work each time!

Amazing comment thank you so much for watching mate 🤘 I’m glad to hear you’re enjoying owning the bike and get a good bit of use out of yours. I was very impressed with this 2021 model, it was so light and flickable, I really enjoyed throwing into bends and around roundabouts. My biggest criticism would be the lack of hard luggage options but it depends on whether people would be willing to suffice with soft luggage in return for a great riding experience. Thanks again for your comment, really insightful 🤘

@@TheRhythmicBiker Thanks! Your video is one of (if not the) most complete review i've seen of the S1000f I can fully understand the hard luggage comment. I too wishes Suzuki would've thought about it instead of going third party, oh well. What I forgot to mention is that the heat is relatively nicely dissipated. I rode a Aprilia Caponord 1200 quite a few times and wow... that does fry your legs. It even does it on relaxed highway pace. Italians do run hotter it seems. Altough not really that important, but the bike is pretty frugal as well (for a liter bike). I can manage a little over 60 UK mpg or 22 km/l with touring. My acceleration is sporty, but I keep the speeds reasonable. It does eat chains and tires quickly though.

@@ghostbarretz Thank you so much, I had the bike for about 2 weeks and put hundreds of miles of it in that time so wanted to be able to cover just about everything with the bike. Oh yeah the heat wasn’t unbearable on this bike, I used to own a Triumph Sprint ST 1050 now that use to run very hot like an Italian bike 😂 60mpg is mighty impressive, even when I went touring on my ZZR1400 I only managed about 42mpg so you definitely can’t be unhappy at 60 🤘

Excellent review, we were watching with trepidation 😅 Totally agree with all your comments, positive and negative (hate those mirrors, and the indicators! Why?!) But she really is a special and lovely bike. As a scaredy shorty, I still felt comfortable on it at 5ft 5 and even though it couldn't completely flatfoot it, I didn't feel unsafe. It really is a comfy ride, and think Suzuki did a great disservice to it classing it as a sports tourer. Sarah will confirm that passenger seat is nothing bigger than a postage stamp. We're glad you enjoyed having her for a while, family is family x

It looks like someone slapped a handlebar conversion on a sports bike and called it a day. It looks amazing but the bars seem like a mod done by the owner. I'm sure its incredibly comfortable and fun to ride but Im not sure what kind of tour anyone will do on one. I hope the classification doesn't do anything negative for the sales as like I said it really does look amazing. Also loving Red letting his inner ninja turtle loose.

It really is a bit of a mix match of a bike, Suzuki needed a sports tourer but I don’t think this was thought about in great detail, hence why they replaced it with the GT a few years later. However, this still is a great bike, I’m just not sure where it’s market is

@@TheRhythmicBiker You did a great job breaking down each segment of the bike, the editing was really good, you've got lots of knowledge on bikes and were measured in your assesment of the machine. Really watchable, great info, I've watched lots of terrible motorcycle content on youtube, and you are not one of those! thanks again for the great info, certainly not a sport tourer! A tricky thing to consider with such a wide variety of bikes to choose from, pure sport, sport naked, sport tourer, I think perhaps we all need a wide variety of bikes in which to choose from day to day! I have hankering for something like your ZZR1400 \Concours 14\BMW 1200\Blackbird as well! The Ninja 750 is a really good machine, I rebuilt every piece of it, the 919 hillarious midrange but a little small for me. I also have a 1981 Suzuki GS850, retro fun! (riding older, slow bikes, fun without breaking speed limit too much!) Keep up the good work, making decent content for youtube that you enjoy and is interesting, its not easy!

@@Kingsoupturbo thank you so much mate, honestly I’m taking back a bit by that, that really means a lot to me. There certainly is a lot of variety out there nowadays, sometimes it’s really hard to just get that all rounder, especially with a lot of people going over to adventure bikes as they have the practicality factor whilst also boasting some decent performance figures. The ZZR1400 is beautiful and I really enjoy using mine, however for a more all round experience I would recommend the GTR/Concours 1400, after rode one I could of sat on that bike all day and not noticed it. Awesome to hear that you rebuilt the ninja 750, I bet you must have such a strong bond with that bike, this Suzuki GS850 sounds like it’s a fun ride, it’s a credit to the manufacturing and maintenance of the owner to see it’s still going strong today💪

@@TheRhythmicBiker The ZZR must be nuts! My friend rebuild a Daytona 955 and its quite a thing, I bet you 1050 was as well! Really doing a ton of rebuild on a motorcycle\car does increase the connection! the old Ninja is quite good considering its age, the GS 850 is not so good, BUT its pretty fun to ride in normal slower situations on a harder to ride, slightly worse motorcycle. Truth is I haven't met a motorcycle I didn't like yet (I rode a Honda Shadow 750 once that was not super great, thats it though!) Its easier to justify more bikes when they're older and less expensive, I sure would like a GTR1400 or a FJR1300 or a BMW equivelant, or at least try one. ADV bikes are pretty rad, but I perfer perhaps a dedicated dirt bike, and a dedicated street bike. I really enjoy comments on my videos as well, quite fun right? Our riding season of good weather is short here in Calgary, Canada, need many motorcycles, more perhaps!

@@KingsoupturboThe ZZR is certainly a rocket when you want it to be. My old Sprint ST1050 was no slowpoke either, I love the look of the old Daytona and Sprint 955i's. After doing some much work and rebuilding the Ninja I'm not surprised to hear you have a strong connection with it. The FJR1300 are very good bikes. Most people nowadays are moving over to the ADV bikes as they seem to just be able to do everything you throw at it. Sorry to hear about the short riding season you have over there however you're right, more bikes to make it even more enjoyable is a great method.

Dig that intro. Great review, anything based off of a GSXR is going to be a great bike in my opinion. Yeah 17 liters is about 4.5 US Gallons which is standard for sport bikes and your right it's not a lot, I have had fuel range scars on my ZX10 a few times on some road trips.

Thanks for watching mate, I knew you’d be happy about this review. 17L would be great if it was a classified sports bike, but because it’s classed as a sports tourer, it’s quite disappointing, especially considering all the competition has bigger fuel tanks 😂
@riggsyb
@riggsyb 10 ай бұрын
@@TheRhythmicBiker yes... But... Having just bought one of these last week and already done 650 miles on it, the 17L tank isn't the issue that you might think it is! I've not been hanging about, but have so far averaged 54mpg on the dash (almost 53mpg actually measured, so the dash is reasonably accurate unlike most european bikes), which means 180 miles per tank has been easy. Riding more sensibly, that figure quickly goes up to 58mpg, meaning 200 mile tank ranges are possible. Yes if you're bouncing off the rev limiter in every gear then it'll use more fuel, but this is the most frugal large capacity bike I've ever owned by some margin already, and I've owned loads! It's also a hell of a lot of fun too... 👍🏻

@@riggsyb thank you so much for your comment mate, that’s very interesting to hear, you are obviously a very good rider as I only had the bike for just over two weeks and unfortunately I couldn’t get anywhere close to your mpg, however, perhaps that has something to do with the fact that I ride a ZZR1400 normally, so maybe I’m a little too harsh on the acceleration. Either way I’m glad to hear you purchased one of these bikes, you certainly won’t be disappointed, managed to put a smile on my face every time I rode it 🤘
